Note from Elizabeth Edwards and contact info.
Received this and just wanted to share in case anyone wanted to contact Elizabeth Edwards.

Dear

First, I want to thank each of you for the support you have given to John Kerry and John Edwards. You gave it in a thousand ways: coming to our events, volunteering to set up and clean up, working the phone banks, knocking on doors, contributing, blogging, standing on corners with signs, whatever it took. Your strength carried us through.

You may have heard that I have been diagnosed with breast cancer. Your strength is carrying my family through too in this latest struggle, and this is a fight we will win. We have (and I say we because John has been with me every minute) started chemotherapy with tremendous confidence, confidence in our doctors, in our ability to face obstacles, and in our friends far and near who we know give us their thoughts and prayers and support today and will continue to do so in the months ahead.

So many of you have tried to reach me recently with your support, and I know that the Senate office and the Wade Edwards Learning Lab have been flooded with calls and e-mails. No complaints there, but in order to take a little pressure off of them, I have resurrected my old e-mail address at elizabeth@oneamericacommittee.com, where you can reach me. I will e-mail periodic updates to you about my progress from there, if you would be interested in getting those. Treatment should last until about next June with follow-ups every three months or so.

I hope you understand how much your support has meant to us. This thank you is to our new and expanded family.

Elizabeth Edwards

3. I liked her the best of the four (candidates & wives)
I'm not saying anything negative about the other three, it's just Elizabeth really stood out to me.

I instantly recognized what an intelligent, smart woman she was, while being very impressed by her decorum and warmth. By decorum, I mean I saw an episode where she was at some luncheon speech somewhere and had to get up and speak immediately after a speaker who just trashed her husband! I don't know if the preceeding speaker knew if she was there or not (or didn't care), but the camera was trained on Elizabeth during the criticism of her husband and I was absolutely holding my breath!

She handled it probably the very best of anyone I have ever seen. She defended her husband valiantly and sensibly while maintaining her dignity and without verbally bitchslapping the previous speaker (which I would have - lol). She totally kept her cool and was very warm and inviting to the group.

I sought out her speaking opportunities after that and always came away very impressed by her. What a woman. Our country has truly lost out not having her in DC right now.

I am so glad to hear that she will be fine. I would like to see a lot more of Elizabeth Edwards in the future, in whatever capacity she wants. We need more women on the nat'l stage like her.

Speedy healing and safe passage, Mrs. Edwards.

5. Yes, she is a strong caring woman. Just saw her interview
with Katie Couric on NBC News. Will be on again on the Today Show tomorrow morning and again, I think Friday night on Dateline.

4. Thanks for posting this, Fla Dem...
You've gently reminded me that I'm overdue to write to EE.

Thanks -- :)
