I just received an anti-GOP sticker "Friendly Fascism" (the one with the GOP loge with swastikas from cafepress.com) and my mom was furious. She thinks it belong to some Neo-Nazi organization. She did not understand about this.
I think tell her the true reasons about these stickers but she thinks that I am proud of the Nazi symbols. She's nuts.
Can someone sent a letter to my mom and tell her the truth?

on the other hand, I'll bet a million bucks I'm older than your mom. send me a p.m. if you like. I will inform her of the truth.

2. Well, how clear is the bumper sticker's message? |
|
If it isn't absolutely crystal clear that it is anti-Nazi, and it has a swastika on it, I'd side with your Mom.

4. Tell her that you are actually against the GOP! Tell her to pay attention |
|
to what has been going on in this country. Talk about the Patriot Act I and II, which is now under legislation to be passed. Google the stories about the soldier moms being arrested simply for asking Der Fuhrer Bush questions. Google the story about the 3 teachers who were told to leave the GOP Repuketard rally simply for wearing "Save our civil liberties!" Tell her that you want to make people aware of what is going on! You are not trying to promote Nazi behavior, but simply want people to be aware that it is on the rise in America!

5. it's sad, but a lot of people just don't "get" irony |
|
for a while before 11/2 my email sig quote was the one from the Iran security minister saying, in essence, "Bush talks tough but Democrats actually SANCTION us; we don't want Kerry in office!"
A friend who I thought was pretty smart -- two masters' degrees and all? -- responded something like, "way to go, you're not brainwashed by the left." :eyes:
um. okay. had to 'splain it to him real slow. haven't heard back since.
and changed my sig quote to something less open to misunderstanding.

6. Okay, now for something more useful |

Dear Mrs. Dangerman:
Your child is neither a fascist nor a neo-nazi. You can rest assured. Instead, the young person you have raised is a Democrat seeking to express outrage at the perceived corporate takeover of our government by the currently-ruling extreme element of the Republican party. Benito Mussolini, the Fascist ruler of Italy during WWII, stated it best when he said that fascism is the merger of state and corporate interests. Your child is concerned that this is happening here, and wants to make a statement against the trend.
You should be proud to have raised a bold, independent thinker. :)
Sincerely,
Sky in Texas
