http://www.twincities.com/mld/twincities/business/10206775.htm?1cGlad I didn't take that job offer a few months back. While I'm younger than their age range, it's clear that BB selling off this division to a much larger company that CAN outsource it all to some country whose human rights records are appalling, you can expect those workers to be out of the job soon.
Best Buy Co., the world's biggest consumer electronics retailer, was accused in a lawsuit of discriminating against older workers when it transferred information-technology jobs to Accenture Ltd.
The lawsuit, filed today in federal court in Minneapolis, claims Best Buy targeted workers over age 40 when it fired about 150 people in October 2003 and June 2004. About 68 percent of the fired workers were over 40 with an average age of 51, even though the information-services workers generally were younger, according to the lawsuit filed by 44 former Best Buy workers.
