6. I don't know about euros, but it could fall pretty far in relation
to the yen.

During the era when the U.S. was trying to force trade concessions on Japan, the exchange rate went to $1=¥90, which just killed Japanese exports and prompted companies to accelerate outsourcing to China.

As of this morning, the exchange rate is ¥103.75 per dollar. Considering that it was around ¥115 per dollar two months ago when I was in Japan, this is a steep drop.

7. That's still a slow slide
but it's going to be felt rather severely this Xmas as prices start to rise everywhere.

We're in for some nasty inflation, folks, and I think we're going to get a hard lesson in economics, and why it's not smart for a country to allow corporations to export the industrial base and beggar the people.
