39. Yes, please cancel cable and help gag the RW propagandists that have
brainwashed many people in the US into supporting a madman like Bu$h. There is no truth or value whatsoever in corporate RW media.

Durring the singing of the National Anthem
Everyone on stage was singing except for the
the bush family .

Then the pundit's started in about how bush
won because of Clinton

we quickly turned it off , I started yelling at the
T.V. and told my husband "this is exactly why I haven't
turned on the cable news for 2 weeks." he responded
"turn that republican drivel off Matthews can kiss
clinton's **** all he wants . they can't get his ****
out of their mouths ."

12. Matthews was bashing him last night too
I hadn't turned on MSNB except for KOC since the election, but I thought I might give it another try- perhaps I was being too harsh, now that the election is over maybe they will be better. Bad mistake. I actually hate him more now than I did during the debates when he kept saying Bush won and the reason there weren't any reps in the crowd was because they were all in home in bed like good little republicans.

13. They have to do that.
Everything that happens in this country is now the Republicans' fault. The only way they can deflect blame is to set up the idea in peoples' minds that Clinton started everything they're doing.

The Great Lie continues, only now it's more desperate and, IMO, absolutely hilarious in its ignorant flailing.

24. Not entirely
Edited on Thu Nov-18-04 01:06 PM by eleny
I was flabbergasted when they started taking about the Clintons' marriage. The woman commenting said that they worked things out because they love and need each other. That it's a modern marriage. Oh - also, when the camera fell on George and Barbara, Tweety commented that the Clinton's were much closer than "those two". I liked that, as Barbara and George never appeared close in my observations. Everyone, including Tweety, must know how GHW played around with other women.

Also, they talked about Clinton's presidency being so helpful to people on the lower rungs of the economic ladder. How for the first time they saw their wages rise.

The woman also compared Clinton to W saying that Clinton did own up to his shortcomings. Whereas W never admits to his mistakes. She said that about W in a somewhat mocking tone.

I haven't been watching tv for weeks. But I don't have C-span3 and wasn't going to miss some of the live coverage today. So, I'm glad I hung in there through some of the negativity to hear the positives. I liked how they made a big deal of how cavalier Carter was when he brushed the rain off Rosaline's (sp) chair so she could have a relatively dry spot. Ever the gentleman.

61. I didn't get that impression
Especially when Tweety commented negativley on GHW's and Barbara's relationship. Frankly, I don't have a problem with their relationship being about power. They worked it out in their own way and that doesn't diminish anything for me.

Wingnuts found problems with Rosaline Carter during Carter's administration. I remember how they were fierce about her having too much influence on his administration. It goes with the territory.

To me, it's better to have a strong first lady than the glazed doughut that's in the White House these days. See? Turn around is fair play! ;)

Bashing Clinton. Talking about "How can a two-term former president who presided over a great economic recovery have 46% approval 4 years later? Even President Bush's father is at 60 or 70%!"

:grr:

And saying that he doesn't see Clinton doing anything else great with his life. Clinton will just "Fade away in the next 20 years. He'll never be Secretary General of the UN, nothing like that." :grr:

Repugs deregulate the media so they can grow into monopolies.
Repugs give the ultra-wealthy owners/stockholders of News Corp., GE and AOL/Time-Warner kickbacks in the form of lowering their taxes at everyone else's expense.
Repugs *own* big media. Repugs are the Party of Big buisness who owns big media.
