Curious tale in my local paper--Laura and twins attended
the Elden Street Players' (the Herndon, VA community theatre group) production of "Thumbs" on Nov. 11.
Here's a link to a Washington Post story about it: http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/articles/A48738-2004Nov14.html Can't find it online at the http://www.connectionnewspapers.com/paper.asp?paper=66, but maybe it just hasn't been posted yet.

ESP enjoys a pretty good reputation for a group of its size/type, and this production of the play--described as a farcical comedy-thriller--was its regional premiere, and initiated by the playwright, a Tony winner.

Apparently * wasn't in attendance--past his bedtime...

Apologies if this should be posted in a different section

1. There is some Bush cousin
who appears in area theatres from time to time. I went to the Little Theatre in Alexandria to see a play a few years ago and was surprised to find Barbara Bush was there that night to see a relative.

Evidently the men in the family don't like plays very much.

2. I wonder what's playing at Ford's Theatre
and could we persuade Mr. Bush to attend.

5. My friend in NYC said that Laura & the Twins attended B'way...
show (not sure which one); they went backstage afterward to meet the cast, and nobody paid them diddly squat attention!!

Ha!

6. Heehee--nice Ford's Theatre notion...
The performer in this case is reportedly the wife of Marvin. Damn, it's like the Baldwins--so many brothers, each less appealing than the last...
