My parents don't want me to get involved in politics.
They said I must keep my feelings inside me and never let it out.

4. I'm 31.
And when I received some anti-GOP sticker i ordered yesterday, my parents think it's some kind of Neo-Nazi propaganda. They want me to keep my feelings inside me and not criticize the GOP.

18. My Mom feels the same way.....
actually she an i share many of the same opinions, but she doesn't want me sharing them with the public.

her primary reason is that she worries about my safety, tho. she doesn't entirely trust freedom fo speech.

and witht he sign thefts and people getting run off the roads, and well, the Patriot Act, i suppsoe i can't really blame her.

9. You know you are old enough
remind your parents that this is NOT Germany, and that we will oppose them

IF they don't like it they can keep it to themselves

Oh and politics affect them as much as it affects you...

And if they don't like it, you are OLD ENOUGH.

Damn I hate these nazi tactics and I have seen this movie before, NAZI GERMANY

11. My Mom told me just the other day
To give up on these "crazy Internet conspiracy theories" because it's unhealthy. I wrote back, "It's not only healthy, but necessary and patriotic based on what our founding documents say" and gave her links to The Declaration of Independence and The Constitution. She's been silent since.

13. Y'all are cruel
Leave the poor guy alone.

That said... Dangerman: I recently left journalism for politics, a move my folks weren't crazy about. I consulted them and value their opinions, but still followed my gut and made my own decision. Suggest you do the same.

If you do, under their roof you must live by their rules.
