busholini plans to screen every US citizen for "mental illness".
Plans cooked up by his paymasters in the drug industry, of course.

15. "King of Hearts," with the lovely and gracious
Genevieve Bujold (Sp?) in it, as well.
Extremely thought-provoking and timeless piece of cinema.

Saw it in B.C. in the late '70's. You have made an apt appraisal of our situation, my friend.

25. You call us liberal fanatics ! But we warned you ! We told you!
It is outrageous and I will not participate in government trying to get into my head, its bad enough they have gotten into my pocketbook, and my faith. I am a christian but its personal choice and not a government mandate. Maybe the freepers will find out that we are more conservative in some areas than they thought ! We do believe in fiscal responsibility in fact, I will go one step further I am probably the most conservative person I know, but I vote liberal to try and stop this sort of outrage of demonizing people. Don't we have enough stamps on people without adding mental illness and the freeper on FR was right when he or she stated that the insane has taken over the asylum but of course we have known that for a long time. Wait till they try electric shock treatment? This is barbaric and its time for all Americans, Dem and Republic to take their rights back from the politicians. Just think, another Beauracrcy to label us all nuts and get along and go along, while we pay for it. Think about it freepers, no dissent, from your side or ours. EVER !

28. This could have won us the election.
Between the New Freedom Commission on Mental Health and the plan to bring medical records into the internet age (think VeriChip) I had hopped these issues could have risen to the top prior to the election. I was saddened to read the names of the Representatives that supported the NFCMH program to screen children before starting school so that could be "ready to learn." All Americans should have access to mental AND physical health services, but this is just payback to the drug company lobby. Hey, they might even provide government funds to put the kiddies on Ritalin, another chance to put our tax dollars into the pockets of the drug companies.

And with a chip planted under our skin, any medical worker could access all our records with the wave of a wand. Just in case we got too drugged and began to wander.

Tried to make this friendly, but both issues are very serious.

17. The co-opting of the medical profession to political ends.
Now where have we seen that before?

I remember a friend telling me the most disturbing image he carried from Schindler's List was that of Nazis in medical gowns.

Read The Nazi Doctors by Robert Jay Lifton, before you're told you're crazy.

"Where am I?" asks America.

"In the Village," the answer comes.

26. New Freedom Commission on Mental Health
Well since the drug companies are behind the commission and the plan to screen every American for mental health... Maybe they'll come up with a drug to treat conspiracy theorists. I caught the disease November 2.

When I was a kid the president initiated the council on physical fitness. See how far we've come.

27. Whoa, that title...
"New Freedom Comission on Mental Health" is crazy. This administration has made the term "Orwellian" trite. I think we need a new word in order to describe this type of thing. My vote is for "holycrapthisisnothappening." I am open to more suggestions though.

30. Yep
Freedom is what the Big Bush Government tells you it is. Period.

Also, I think that Freeper is right. I think eventually the guns will have to go. I wonder if that's what's in the Patriot Act II that no one's supposed to see.

If these guys really are cheating by " counting " the votes the way they want, how else can they be stopped but by the armed militia the Freepers are always talking about? Now this is a very Orwellian situation.

:smoke:

32. Mainly for children, but...
I think this insidious policy is mainly designed to target the rest of the children not currently labeled and drugged by schools and adult caregivers. The pharmaceutical companies and their allies make billions off these kids.

The only problem is that these drugs are VERY bad for kids, leading to problems in growth, brain development, exacerbated tendencies to violence and suicide, and addiction.

Adults will also be targeted to some extent, but I think this targeting will be mostly inclined towards minorities and the lower classes. The affluent or well-covered people are already taking their designer drugs.

It's a BAD business, very very bad....
