Is Bush looking to get something from Clinton?
I think the dems and the repubs are working together....Bush gives Clinton a few nice words at the library opening...and in return...they will say better things about the war...
say what you will....thats what I htink might be going on...

1. * doesn't have to be nice to Clinton for that,
Clinton already blasted the dems before the '02 midterms for not taking a more hawkish stance on the war.

3. I really think it's simpler than that
At gatherings like today's, they all have more to gain in being civil, cordial, and "presidential" toward each other than anything they might gain otherwise.

I think the Chimp, as always, looked nervous from the start, obviously out of his element, trying to keep up with the Real Presidents. He knows he's inferior.

I kept thinking, "That whole picture would make sense if it were Al Gore up there instead."

6. Other way around -Bill wants something
from Dumbya. He wants a strong focus and work on the Mid East post Arafat situation. I think he wants to be special envoy ala John Mitchell in Ireland. Got that feeling when I watched him speak today. That's why he buttered him up before talking about interdependency and wishing the idiot well to cross over to the "Promised Land" of peace in the Mid East.
