"Attacking LIBERals is Attacking LIBERty." Bumpersticker? |
|
Edited on Thu Nov-18-04 09:57 PM by Tamyrlin79
Why not have a bumpersticker with this on it? It would draw a grammatical parallel by pointing out the root meaning of both words. It also has the virtue of being true. Why not point out how the tactics of the right represent a threat to our freedoms and liberty?
Edit: Attacking LIBERals = Attacking LIBERty
Either way, it gets the point across...

Considering almost every Democrat in Congress voted for the Iraq War, the Assault Weapons Ban, and the Patriot Act, I'm not sure how much credibility they have in regards to liberty anymore... ;(

5. The flaw in your logic... |

Is that "liberal" does not equal "Democrat". If they aren't defending liberty, they aren't really "liberal" now are they?

I noticed the root "liber" a while ago. After that I preferred calling myself "Liberal" rather than "Progressive". I'll take my liberties over progress any day. Great idea to make public.
