Has anyone seen the MotorCycle Dairies? |
|
I am a big lover of Che Guevara and the freaking trailer makes me cry. I didn't get to see it at the one theatre showing it within a 100 miles and want to hear about it.
Also a biopic starring Benico Del Toro is currently in production about Che's revolutionary years, I just hope they don't fuck that up.
Anyhow, I read a bunch of reviews and wanted to DUers opinions.

1. The moment that touched me the most... |

... was when Che liberated the ice cream factory. Moved me to tears, that did.

I'm:
1) Mocking the typo in your headline, and
2) Mocking your love of totalitarianism.

4. That is not what I posted this thread about, I actually want to hear |
|
about the movie. I have no desire to listen to a bunch of stupid puns. If you going to actually be funny then, I'll laugh. Otherwise don't hijack my thread.

I'd give it an 8.
Good film. Good chemistry between the two lead actors.
What I enjoyed most about it was that it was wonderfully understated. It wasn't sensational, over the top, Hollywood crap.
Che isn't galvanized into a revolutionary by the end of the film. The parts that show the seeds being sown are very subtle.
The only drawback for me was that the film was in Spanish and I had to read subtitles.

Good film. Subtle. Good acting and chemistry. Believable.
