How many think that martial law..........
is a possibility down the road? We all know that the next four years are going to be one hell of a mess and very brutal. There will be a mass exodus of former Bush supporters. I know that they can steal the election, but will that be enough next time? If people are angry enough they may have to declare martial law to subdue the masses. I know this is all hypothetical, but as I have said many times before, they are not going to give up the power that they have been working for for such a long time. They intend to keep it one way or another.

4. They want total control
but they can't have it! Only an idiot would expect us to go quietly into that dark night. We are the party of Jefferson ... and will not bow to any tyrant.

5. we are ONE "event" away from totalitarianism
ONE "terra" event--:nuke:
that's it--
that's all it will take !
Patriot act in place, all opposition taken away, curfews, military law--
AND
Guess what?
Permanent pResident !!!
he's in for life--he's never going anywhere--
fixing elections?

9. this country is so big
and so many people feel so entitled, I just don't see it even working. Maybe in big cities but in teeny towns and suburbs? They don't have enough of a gestapo for it to really work unless they start relentlessly bombing us.

10. Dont Give em any ideas
They would probably love to reduce our population to a more controllable number. It is hard to control large masses of people.
I am sure they already have weapons and other techniques to keep the majority brainwashed and in control. They probably already do so to some extent. I only seeing things getting worse.

God help the people here. I fear for America. Yes I believe there will be another attack. I think I remember Bush saying their will be another attack or perhaps it was someone else in government that said that. Either way it will happen. It is so easy to see it happening again considering how many enemies we have now.
When it does there will be virtually no support from other countries.
We have done this to ourselves. The general public has blinders on and cant see what is happening. Ignorance is bliss but not that helpful.

11. Didin't we here all about this before the election
I heard this talk from many before the election and it never happened. I heard this talk right after 9/11 and it never happened.

Don't think it will. There are no masses to subdue.....

How many of you stocked up for Y2K????

14. Stocking up for Y2K
I did not do that. I did not think anything bad was gonna happen on a large scale. Some really old computers might have been messed up but they would be considered useless anyway.

The masses are already pretty much subdued right now.
This may not always be the case.
Government has weapons now that are amazing and is based upon Nikola Tesla's inventions that can be used against us.
They have some amazing abilities now that they never had before.
Most of these weapons are most likely kept secret but that is usually the case. Once certain types of info is released the technology and info has been around for quite awhile.

One party system has arrived. People are calling it "cooperation". No one notices because Murikins can still go shopping. AND we still have a choice between Pepsi and Coke, don't we?

Slavery IS freedom, baby!

13. They've got to bring some soldiers home if they're going to do it
The military is too stretched to be capable of enforcing martial law across the country. Even if the military was doing it at full capacity, the nature and landscape of this country would make it very difficult to enforce on such a scale.

They could occupy selected cities and areas. Why impose martial law on Nebraska, which voted for you anyways? Another terror attack on NYC could justify imposing martial law there, in a blue state.

That marshall law will be implemented? why would there be? When bush got elected either time there were no mass riots at least not like the L.A riots in 92(? was it)citys didn't burn nothing. I don't see any reason.

21. Actually an acquaintance of mine
said that to me, a few weeks back when i met him out and about.

he said he was going to join the US marshalls because when martial law came about, he would rather be on that side of the gun.

24. I grew up as a teen in Berkeley in the 60's....
I can certainly envision the National Guard being called out to subdue protesters ("insurgents"), as Nixon / Gov. Reagan did, except the National Guard is largely deployed overseas these days.

I recall a day when the Guard herded people into the UC campus and then teargassed the whole place from helicopters. Many thousands were running to try to breathe... marchers, janitors, secretaries, etc., including an entire school of blind children which had just let out. People were grabbing these children to run them out of the area. It is hard to run for blocks when you dare not take a breath. Especially if you are a blind child. A very bad day.
