The difference between abortion and murder
When a woman, or teenage woman, goes to get an abortion she is not happy to be doing so. Something has gone wrong. 99% of the time a mistake has been made and the woman has chosen to end her pregnancy. Perhaps she's just a young girl who might have her life ruined by having a child so early. Perhaps it might be a woman who simply forgot to take her pill that day. It might just be a woman who wants to have the child but knows she cannot afford it. It's possible it could be a woman who, due to some medical reason, doesn't feel safe having the child. Finally, it's even possible the woman was raped.

Do you suppose that woman feels even the slightest bit happy about what she is doing? Of course not. There isn't anyone to grieve this loss but the woman. No one else.

--------------------------------------------------------------------

Murdering a doctor who is legally licenced and is carrying out the best wishes of his patients is murder. Taking joy in that doctors death is disgusting. No remorse for the crime is unforgivable. I suppose that doctor had a family. They all mourn that loss.

But that sicko just sat there and smiled when they stuck the needle in him. Bah.

2. Some guy just got the death penalty in my town
I followed the trial pretty closely.

He killed someone hundreds of miles from here. He ditched his car and kidnapped a guy at a 7-11 to get his car. He told him he needed to be driven to where I live which took a full day. Then the guy would be let go. They drove across country.

When the guy got to his girlfriend's house (which is why he was coming here) he told the guy that he was really sorry and felt really bad about it, but he was going to have to kill him now since he could identify him. Meanwhile of course the wife of the guy who didn't come home from 7-11 and everyone in the small town is out scouring the area for the guy who didn't come back from running an errand.

The guy shot the other guy in the head but didn't kill him. He loaded him into the trunk of his own car gushing blood and moaning. When he got to a stream, he dumped the body, but since he was still conscious he shot him again and killed him.

The jury just voted for the death penalty, and I have a hard time disagreeing with them.
