Homeless mother charged with endangerment after leaving kids in storage un
This made me very sad. A working mother who has no other options, but to live in a storage unit. Hey Shrubya, how can you sleep at night knowing the fate of this family and so many others like them?

http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/articles/A63777-2004Nov19.html
A Waldorf woman was arrested at her workplace yesterday, and two of her daughters, ages 4 and 5, were placed in the care of social workers after the girls were found locked in a storage shed where the family apparently had been living for a week, the Charles County sheriff's office said.

The girls, whom authorities declined to identify, appeared to be in good health and tried to hide from sheriff's deputies, who were called at 11:30 a.m. to Budget Self Storage on Irongate Drive to get the children out of the shed, where they apparently had been playing

1. GRRRRRRRR how does this bastard sleep?
these kids were reportedly "in good health." Instead of arresting the Poor Mother, why not give them housing and her couselling????? Yeah living in a storage unit isn't cool, But damnit, what other choice do some people have? :nuke:

3. Being "pro-life" doesn't mean
you're pro-quality-of-life. Not if you're a RW extremist asshat.

4. Where are all the compassionate conservative when we need them?
Oh, yeah. They are busy blowing up Iraq and committing genocide.

6. Reminds me of a Doonesbury
from back when Gingrich was planning his orphanage chain. It turned out it would cost about $40,000 a year per child and one of the Doonesbury crew brought up the point "Why don't you just give the $40,000 to the family and reduce the crippling poverty that leads to this kind of neglect?"

Eight years later and still no answers.

8. Welfare "reform" Dems and cheap labor Repubs
Welcome you to the "ownership" society. Between the two we'll be lucky not to have children begging in the streets, as in other Oligarchies.

9. This kind of thing used to make me sad and angry...
...but now that I'm a mom, it makes me burst into tears and then run and throw up.

Shrub is a dad. He must not be human.
