Why does the media lie about the economy?
Why (and how) do these people come on their Saturday business shows today and actually paint a pretty picture of our economy? That's ridiculous! That's a horrible thing to do too. Ignorant people(most people) actually think our economy is doing well and will continue to do so. How can anybody come to that conclusion? Some recent headlines and comments:

-God knows what Chimp is going to do w/tax code and S.S.
-We're going to invade at least one more country in next 4 years

Yet, catch some reporting on the economy/market/etc. sometime today and their actually like excited?!?

3. Because they have an aversion to anthrax?
Or they are told what to say? Or they are Republicans? From their perspective, things have never been better financially? Or a combination of the above?

6. Because of the negative impact that it can have on the economy ...
... it's a vicious cycle. The worse people feel about the economy, the less they spend + invest, the worse the economy becomes.

Capitalism didn't take psychology nor mass media into account when it was envisioned.
