Just saw a rather disturbing video clip on Arab TV. |
|
Hi Folks, I was just watching some Arabic TV (AlAlam, Tehran) on my Free-to-Air satellite TV, and i saw the following disturbing clip (mind you, these type of clips are pretty standard; they run them as space-fillers when ever they have some time to kill):
Anyway, it starts out with some basic shots of menacing American troops in Iraq, doing what they do (theme from "X-Files" playing in background), and gradually fades into shots of distressed Iraqi civilians (children, old folks, etc.), then they move to the now famous injured Iraqi in mosque shooting; they run the "money-shot" over and over (like when you put your finger on a turn-table and move the record back and forth) so the body bounces up and down a few times as the marine shoots it over and over again to the beat of the music. Then they move right to a shot of Bush and Cheney (not sure when it was, but it was probably after the election because they were both looking especially happy) and of course the Chimp is smirking away, and so is Cheney. Then they flipped to a negative image screen of the smirking psychos, it was mostly black and eerie looking; they finished it out with some video effects distorting the Chimpster's face to make him look even more psycho than he is.
I'm sure we're well on the way to winning hearts and minds over there, don't you think?

1. It's a Holy War; Americans have not yet been told. |

We haven't gotten the memo. However, the public relations war rages on and we aren't winning that.

There are a lot of Arab stations on that; from Dubai, saudia Arabia, Lebanon, Abu Dabi, Oman, algeria, Iran, Sudan, etc. However, if you have a C-band system, i'm sure there are a lot of Arabic stations broadcasting in C-band from the same satellite.
