Does Anyone Remember
the TV show from the '80s called "Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous"?

I hated that show from the first moment it appeared on TV because I felt it was rubbing the wealth and privilege of the individuals it focused on in the faces of the down-trodden and disenfranchised at a time when so many were hurting. Thanks to Regan's "Trickle Down" theory on economics and all the other crazy policies he did, people were hurting, interest rates were high, salaries were down for the vast majority, there were so many people living on the streets...

I am waiting now, with all the reality shows we have on TV(I personally don't like or watch any of them - except 2 - MythBusters and Queer Eye for the Straight Guy) for some slug to bring this show back. I swear I would be having a deja vu' moment if it happened.

Since *Shrub* admires Regan so much and is trying so hard to have an Admin like him or even surpass it, I won't be surprise when that show makes a return.

Understand...I don't begrudge anyone the money they earn through honest means and work, but I can't stand somebody rubbing my face in it. There are so many people in this world right now wanting and needing help especially right now during these frightening times, but I'm terrified that because of the evilness of this Prez we're not gonna find our way out of his particular brand of "Lifestyles".

I hope and pray I'm wrong. Sorry for the rant, but I've been out of work for over a year and the news just seems to get worse and worse. I've gone back to school for a career change and am just about finished, but I'm concerned with the prospect of finding said job what with the way things are.

Thanks for listening.

1. Do not give in do not give up
I have reinvented myself, career wise, three times, once due to serious injury , once due to becoming a single parent of two small children and once due to economic downturns. I have prospered quite nicely precisely because I refused to give up.

You can do this too!
