A What if scenario for campaign 2004... |
|
What if *'s campaign strategy is all about how much "safer" we are in America because there have been no terrorist attacks since 9/11 (disregarding the fact, of course, that terrorist groups are very patient and prone to working at long intervals). He brags about it constantly on the campaign trail, probably to the exclusion of all other issues. Now my question is this: Isn't that an open invitation to terrorists to strike again? Then what will he say?

"bring 'em on"
He will get on a roll on the campaign trail and practically beg some terrorist to attack us. He will look really bad when it happens.

However the experts say we are not safer, and the people do not feel safer.
So maybe it won't happen. I believe that Bush is screwed on national security issues. Especially if either of our nominees is a Real Veteran.
