Freep: I love this President
regarding Bush being afraid of going without his secret service agents:

"I love this President. Look how astute he is, picking up on the situation when others have not. And taking direct action. I love it. I swear if he needed to jump in a fighter jet to defend the country against some giant space ships hovering over a U.S. city he would do it (think I may have seen this in a movie somewhere but he fits the roll).

It's a shame Bush never got the chance to prove how brave he really is...

Inferring something without one shred of evidence to support the claim.

Not healthy at all.

4. wonder how they like him in his "girlie man" cheerleading outfit?
this idiot is a yellow coward through and through and as far as his followers are concerned, like minded people always cling to one another.

P.S. freeper fascists...why are you still here in the US? We need between 50,000 and 80,000 additional troops in Iraq... asap. All those chest beater who so proudly follow this cowardly draft dodger have an obligation to enlist NOW. No waiting ..do it now!

5. The chimp is simply afraid
He must know the world hates him, suddenly without his body guard, he was struck with a bolt of terror. He wonders back to the crowd like a child lost in a supermarket, "Mommy, where are you?" Clutching his "My Pet Goat" book he explains to the Chilean guards that they have stopped his mommy, oops I mean body guard. And all is well again.

Freepers just need a little perspective.

Is a guy afraid of being without a security blanket.

Freeps generating other interpretations for Bush's odd (bad quest) actions is nothing more than machinations bordering on mental masturbation.

refusing to take his physical. Actually, he just did it AGAIN.

Oh, and as a bit of a reminder, if you're going to refer to Independence Day, you might want to remember that the president in the movie, had actually served honorably and was a combat veteran. Not like the Chimperor who cowered and hid.

10. Well, Geraldo Said He Wanted to Kiss Shrub
Edited on Sun Nov-21-04 12:33 PM by UTUSN
On his Faux circus last night, Whorealdo ran tape of the CLINTON library festivities, of himself standing in the crowd near STREISAND, of Shrub and CLINTON saying nice-nice about each other, and then came the Whorealdo kicker. He said Shrub was so gracious and so conciliatory to Dems, was so grand that he, Whoreado just "wanted to KISS him!" How 'bout THAT?!

On edit: Come to think of it, Whorealdo's and the Freeptard's adoration of Shrub in this thread creeped me out JUST AS MUCH as CLINTON's saying "Am I the only one in America who LIKES both (Shrub) AND John KERRY? Who are BOTH good and decent people who just see things differently?"

12. What ARE they putting in kool-aid these days?
Like that dipshit would ever try to take out any invaders like the president in that movie did. He would run to Dicky's hidey-hole and piss himself, and make Bar read him his goat book while he sucked his thumb.

15. They see it as folk hero stuff
The problem is that in an incident like this, we can all see the situation for what it is. But the uniformed, uneducated will take this as folk hero stuff. They even liken it to some scene they see in a movie. They see it as Bush being a common man (a good thing to them). We make fun of it. But to them it is a very big deal, a "defining" moment. This is very dangerous. Incidents like this embolden these people. Don't write these sentiments off. There is a congressional election in two years and this kind of hero worship will transfer into votes.

20. Looks like he's letting Laura walk off unprotected to me
Or is that someone else's wife? Anyway, what a stud! He wouldn't even need to mind-meld with the alien to know we have to nuke 'em. He'd just do it, because he probably wouldn't remember how to fly the plane anyway. It would be so much better than waiting for a drunken crop duster to save the world.

26. 7 minutes
Frankly, that whole 7 minute thing does not go anywhere with me. I mean, what was he supposed to do, jump up and flap his arms? That was good election fodder but we are going to have to come up with better than this to win the election two years from now.

25. Take direct action if America is attacked???
Well. Lets see. Has America been attacked on the bush* watch?

What great acts of heroic bravery did bush* perform???

george bush* left a trail of yellow urine across half of America desperately looking for a spider hole to hide in!

His handlers were so embarrassed by his shameful cowardly behavior on 9-11 that they invented a cover story to explain bush*s panic. The White House invented a story that Air Force One had been targeted by terrorists, and that is why bush* ran. The White House coverstory was later debunked as Pure Fabrication.

bush* himself later stated that on 9-11, he was "trying to stay out of harms way!" Leading the nation and co-ordinating an intelligent response were not options or responsibilities that occurred to bush*.
Bush*s shameful display of cowardice on 9-11 earned him a nickname that is still used today: Commander Bunnypants

Oh and I also want to say that this guy's measurement of his president based on this act is well not very realiable otherwise I could be president too. I am a teacher and administrator in an elementary school. I can smell trouble before it even happens. Using this freep's logic I should be emperor of the friggin' Western Hemisphere!

28. Gag
The thing I find strangest about this story is the fact that Bush is usually so hyper-skittish about ANYTHING happening that is not in the script (witness his going pale and darty-eyed when protestors managed to take him on at the Repub convention in New York, and more recently, when the confetti blower went off ahead of time during one of his stump speeches) that it defies explanation as to why he would now go running over to "rescue" one of his minions.

However, the "media" playing this getting-past-the-velvet-rope incident up as though he saved the man from a burning car is more than my gag reflex can handle.
