Leslie Blitzer trying to shut up Al Franken on CNN
Edited on Sun Nov-21-04 02:09 PM by JI7
Al Franken is calling out whore Blitzer and the other media whores on their crappy reporting and Leslie Blitzer is trying to shut Franken up and keeps insisting it's not the media.

Martin Frost just said more democrats need to go on Fox News.

1. Might explain why Frost is out of office.
The Gop is rolling over him just like it does the guests who go on Faux.

3. Al Is Having None Of Leslie
Edited on Sun Nov-21-04 01:57 PM by loindelrio
And it appears that some of the others on the panel are now showing some backbone.

On Edit:

Oops, it was just a temporary backbone loan.

It appears that Al is the only one that gets it on this panel. Until the RW echo chamber is countered, it does not matter what message/ platform they put up in opposition, it will not take hold, because the meassage will not get out, or be spun to their detriment.

5. Call me back when they've shown some spine for about two years straight
I grew tired of CNN and all the others existing merely to offer a forum to team Bush to spread it's propoganda. One small episode isn't going to change their history.

6. the biggest thing about this
was how much leslie blitzer tried to avoid discussing what al franken was trying to bring up about the media and how ignorant bush voters are.he was doing it to show an example of the media's failure on things like the iraq war reporting.

he didn't just challenge franken but tried to avoid the issue. and he kept insisting it's not the media, it's the democrats.

al franken reminded me of jon stewart a bit in that you could tell he was frustrated and trying hard to just get out the truth. i love al franken.

8. Lets all cancel cable subscriptions this week
I can't afford cable any more, so I am cancelling it this week. When I do, I'm going to tell them I just don't get anything worthwhile from the news or programming anymore. It's just a bunch of static junk and outright lies.

10. I was glad to see that Al left his funny bone at home
He stayed on message and didn't back down. He needs to do more of this. I only wish that he could have mentioned voter verified paper ballots. Without them, everything else we talk about is meaningless.

Btw, screw going on FoxNews. They aren't interested in having conversatons or pulling out the guest's point of view. Going on Fox is like walking into a dead end alley and being confronted by billy clubs in suits. Until they quit their hyperbolic, manic behavior I say to hell with them. Better to go on CNN or MSNBC where they at least pretend to be decent so our people can get some words in edgewise. Meantime, Air America Radio continues to spread one station at a time.

13. I can't help loving Al Franken
Yes, he's driving me insane about the vote, but I can forgive him that. None of us want to believe that the vote, the life blood of democracy, is rigged and that the media is covering it up. It's like believing LIHOP or MIHOP. Not everyone can get there, because it's just so freaking horrible.

But Al has passion. He gets angry, he gets emotional, even sometimes physical. (Remember when he launched himself at the heckler at the Dean event during the primaries?)

We need people like Al, just like we need Mike Malloy and Randi Rhodes, and Laura Flanders and Thom Hartmann and all of them.
