7. an oldie, but a goodie!
the request for this pic comes up at intervals, and i always click the thread, because i always get a laugh!

LOL!! gawd, if the sign had suggested getting anything else (with the exception of spell check) it would not have been nearly as gut-splitting--but "GET A BRAIN! MORANS" ???? i wonder if this poor moran knows he has become a poster child for the extreme right? probably, he doesn't blush and cower with humiliation, but...can you imagine what it must be like to be him?

6. I've always wondered...
what the sign says that the kid on the right is holding?

Possibly "Free Ripublick"?

18. Boeing plant St. Charles MO
Edited on Thu Sep-04-03 03:18 AM by Solon
I was born there, and grew up there, currently live in U. City.

ON EDIT: More specific source of photo, is 3rd street north of 370. I should know, had a neighboor who worked at the Boeing plant. BTW before this "support the troops" rally, their was an anti-war protest, sometime last september I think. People were blocking the entrances to the plant, gotta love those protesters.

12. Isn't "Morans" the name of a poltician?
I seem to remember that turned out to be a protest against someone with the last name of "Mmorans". It's still funny, though. Maybe clever in a strange sort of way.

13. Well, there's Rep. Jim Moran (D-VA)...
Edited on Thu Sep-04-03 01:44 AM by VolcanoJen
... but I have serious doubts that that's the message Mr. Bandana Boy was trying to convey.

14. There's Cong. Jim Moran (D-VA-8th), but I don't know that much about him.
For some odd reason I don't feel Mr. Mullet & Doo Rag was trying to be clever yet subtle with his sign...

15. ???
I don't think so - I thought it was an anti-war protest? Don't break my bubble! Life is cruel and full of strange twists and turns, but I've always been able to count on the fact that freepers are the dumbest assholes on the planet.

20. Even IF he meant the politician it is
WRONG because he added an S at the end. If he meant the person Moran than it shouldn't be plural.
