Interesting Discussion on Geo. Stephanopolous this
a.m. Even Geo. Will was dissing Bush and Iraq and the new Republican philosophy. That's a real change.

They asked if they thought Bush would invade Iran and Geo. Will said "absolutely not." We couldn't if we wanted to with the mess in Iraq.

Also I watched that right wing show where everyone yells at each other on PBS. Eleanor Clift was the sole moderate and that was interesting, too. I think those Rich Wingers are just in plain denial about what is going on. Everything is OK. The elections are going to be on time. Bush has every right to weed out all of the dessent in his administration. It was a real eye-opener on how these guys think. One was Pat Buchanan and one was from the Washington Times - Blakely? I think.

They all thought that Condi Rice will be just fine. She will change her personality to fit her new job. All is right with the world.

Do they read the papers or watch the news?

1. George Will voted for Bush.
With his stated opinion, you really have to wonder why. Was it based on party loyalty or careful consideration of facts? I tend to believe it was based on party loyalty.

4. Oh, yea!
I heard that, too. No civilians have been killed in Faluja. I think they think they all left town ahead of the war.

3. George Will is irritating as hell but he is intelligent
and I learn something by listening to him. Can't think of many other conservatives I could put up with for that long. He actually surprises me sometimes, including when he said its a real problem when a politician just refuses to admit he's made mistakes.

5. He can be so stuffy.
I used to like David Brooks when he was just on Lehrer. But he has changed. He just continues to hold on to nonsense.

I know that a lot of people really thought that Iraq would be better off and that the people would be better off if we invaded - including a lot of Iraqis in this country.

But look at the facts? How could anyone not just look at the day to day struggle going on, and listen to the people Lehrer has on who have been there six or seven times since the war began and still believe things are going swimmingly.

And why doesn't our standing in the eyes of the whole rest of the world seem to bother them at all? I really bothers me. Bush goes to Ireland and gets booed by hundreds or thousands. A couple of months later Clinton goes and thousands show up to wish him well.
They don't hate Americans - they think Bush is an idiot.

8. But no matter the many mistakes - Will voted for Bush
And that's a real problem, too. Therefore, Will has very little teach me except that no matter how disastrous, he'll still vote for Bush and what Bush stands for.

9. Who gives a shit if George Will "disses" Bush
He's their fluff boy, he's prostituted himself for decades to these ideological hacks and religious lunatics, and now that they're safely ensconced for another four years of looting, he's "displaying his independence".

Fuck George Will and ALL - ALL these Beltway Whores.
