What if there was a game where you could assassinate Reagan?
How fast would that be pulled off the shelf?

Now, I don't have that much problem with the Kennedy game... so long as we can make similar ones for Reagan, Bush, Bush2...

1. Let's get some programmers rocking on just that!
Try out different scenarios. And since we are the intellectual elites, let's have diffent love interests for Hinkley. Or, maybe, different psychos ... who are all in love with Jody foster. the options are endless.

Please, programmers, make a game of this. Let's shove this horror down the fundies' throats....

2. Why?
"Let's shove this horror down the fundies' throats...."

It strikes me that not too many fundies will think much of this Kennedy game in the first place. No offense, but I'd just as soon find something else to do besides shove murder games down anyone's throat.

11. If you want to knock them off their foundation, you're going to have
to go lower.

12. and we just roll over when the right does stoop that low
that's our problem. We are great at not taking the low road but we don't go far enough when the republicans do.

3. Ehh, just *say* that they're making it. Start a rumour.
Much more efficient with the shorter news cycles, not to mention very cost-effictive.

4. I was over in Freeperville....
Even THEY are calling for this game designer's head.
...I don't think it's gonna be very popular.

13. Disgust...
...from what I've seen, the disgust on this one is pretty universal.
I wouldn't worry about the need to have it pulled from the shelves. It's gonna die a natural death in short order.

5. Um, please be careful about suggesting such things for living Presidents
It's ghastly enough when it's about dead Presidents. But you're crossing a line when you even suggest any such thing about living Presidents or ex-Presidents. And aside from general repugnance it makes DU look bad.

8. That's one reason for Reagan.
He's dead. The "kill Reagan" game couldn't be seen as a threat to him.

6. The game designers are British, aren't they?
That does put a slightly different spin on it. It's not a product of the domestic fascists, I mean.

14. "Reagan Reloaded : where Hinckley went wrong!!"
Now you can be John Hickley, and finish the job that he bungled. Score high enough, and Jodie Foster will turn hetero just for you!!...
