Letters on the assault on Fallujuh and the US elections
On “US media applauds destruction of Fallujah”

Thanks for the fine job of reporting on what a lousy and insidious job the US media did covering the criminal attack in Fallujah. I can only shake my head in shame as everybody cheers on the destruction of a city. I haven’t looked on your web site yet, but you should also do a story about the elusive Mr. Zarqawi, He must be pretty good to have conveniently slipped past the American troops surrounding the city since April. Maybe they perfected the ole “invisible cloak,” or more likely the troops didn’t recognize him because no one has a recent photograph. You can also demonstrate how he magically re-grew a leg; after hearing for years that he lost it in Tora Bora, some US people say he has both legs again. (I guess that they might be shy about reporting miracles.)

Anyways, I was purposely searching the web for stories, and you are right: no one covered it as the atrocity that it is. And to add insult to injury, no one is following up by reporting on the ground in the newly “liberated” Fallujah. Funny thing, no one threw the expected flowers; maybe they killed off the flower throwers by mistake. (I’m sure that they would use the excuse that they thought they were throwing hand grenades.)

You should also cover how the media tried to paint the picture that the marine that murdered the wounded prisoner did so because he was having a “bad day” after his buddy was killed previously.

1. Zarqawi is a "faith based" person -- or does he really exist?
We are being asked to "believe" that a boogie man called Zarqawi really exists (who is always masked in videos supposedly of him doing something horrible).

There was a letter by someone of importance & education in Iraq -- read by Mike Malloy -- in the letter the person said that if such a foreigner Zarqawi existed in Falluja the people would turn him over -- but no such person did exist. Was Zarqawi merely an excuse to punish the resistance.

It is impossible to know where the truth about the existence of this person called Zarqawi can be found -- I doubt it will come from the US military, or from the bushies. The military and the bushies have been caught lying about nearly everything involving Iraq -- if at some point they told the truth -- how are we to know?

Is every 5th or 7th or 20th statement the truth -- and everything thing else just another lie to cover up yet another misjudgment?

It is absolutely amazing how much faith based crap comes out of the current administration.

But apparently millions of US voters prefer lies -- of the sort that get people killed and streets running red with blood.

Gee whiz -- people were brain washed into believing that the worst thing a President could do was LIE about sex or a BJ. Now these same people are so forgiving of the daily ration of lies from the bushies.

Psy OPS -- using the corporate media -- is a powerful tool in the hands of fascists.

2. True
They asked me and the other fifth graders one day, "if Hitler was coming to power, would you do something?". We all shouted, "yes!". Twelve years later, as far as I know, I am the only one who would back that claim up. The thing that scares me is that I have noticed people making the claim that Hitler "wasn't that bad. He rebuilt Germany." I have to seriously wonder what went wrong. Even people who still agree that Hitler was wrong cannot make the connection to Bush. I wonder if these people have a secret desire to be NAZI thugs, or if their minds are gone and they cannot think of anything else. I just hope that the "minority" of Americans that comprises the other 200 Million in this nation will rise to the occasion and remove Bush.
