Another big blunder in Iraq
http://news.independent.co.uk/world/middle_east/story.jsp?story=585388

The election campaign will also coincide with the haj in mid-January, and the transit of several million pilgrims from Muslim countries such as Iran, Afghanistan and Pakistan overland through Iraq to Mecca.

<snip>
One officer said that those planning the transitional process appeared not to have taken the Muslim calendar into consideration.

4. Well this is asking a little too much...
let's not forget that many of the CPA staff were chosen from college kids who'd put their CV's online at the American Enterprise Institute's website. The person writing this article has no consideration for the fact that the people in charge don't have a fucking clue what they're doing.

Rule of thumb for running Iraq: What would Ann Coulter do?

8. Ann sez, new Generals are needed to convince Americans
and the world that democracy is working and right on course. The old Generals are lacking originality and spontaneity with FAUX News.

6. How much are tickets to this show?
"Sources say that they expect a determined effort by Islamist groups to smuggle in fighters among the worshippers, with little chance of detecting them. The sheer number of pilgrims will, they say, create a logistical nightmare beside a political campaign in which 120 parties are taking part."

9. You give them too much credit.
This administration can't find their collective asses with both hands. It was pure oversight as a result of ignorance. In other words, business as usual.
