I see us more and more as the "evil" ones. I am beginning to feel like we are the people that were in the Bible that were so perverse, God destroyed them all. I cannot remember the name of the city. But I believe that is the direction we are traveling in and that we are going towards major destruction of some sort or another.

I wish that we were still the guys wearing the white hats. I fear we now, at least in the eyes of the much of the world, are the guys with the black hats.

Ok, i might get flack for this, but i'm Mormon/LDS...

and i know for some odd reason many mormon's voted for Bush even though it goes against our religion on many things,

In the book of mormon - it states, that... well not in exact words... but it mentions how - the only just cause for war, is protection of rights and liberty, that if you defend yourself when attacked upon, God will be with you, but if you invade another country for power, or wealth, etc... That you're basically screwed..

Also another theme of the Book of Mormon, was - pride, the Nephites, were God's people, but he'd bless them w/ riches (like america - all the comforts we enjoy)... then they'd get prideful, and would forget about him, and they'd need some 'humbling' (like 9-11 maybe? )... and then the people would... usually turn around, n stuff... neways moral of the story is too much Pride is a bad thing...

To be proud to be American - no matter what -even when we do all the atrocious things we've done in iraq... is foolishness... America, once ..was a nation to be proud of... we'd overcome huge odds, and beat the 'then' super power of the world... but look, 2 hundred n 30 years later, Britain, is reduced to a small country with no real say in world affairs... look at Rome, another great empire, not even a country of its own, but a small city in italy...Look at every empire ever made.... all of them... destroyed...

we're next, we're falling apart from within, we're stretched to the breaking point militarily, and financially...we're full of pride, we're killing 100's of thousands of God's children (yes even muslims are his children..and he don't like that...)...

like... the song by 'Live' -- The crucifix ain't no baseball bat, tell me what kind of god is that, there's nothing more godless than a war, so tell me what are we fighting for!

Christ didn't come to this earth so we could wage wars in his name... every king or emperorer(Even emporer Bush)... who've waged a 'holy war' will receive their reckoning, when Christ is like, you didn't know me, or you would've followed my teachings...

like love one another, love thy neighbor, be a good samaritan, love god, be a peacemaker not a warmonger, he was the prince of peace, - i mean how can you possibly say you're a christian and follow this massachist massacring thousands of women in children....

anyways, not all christians are bad... as a liberal christian, i can see what's going on, and not be blinded by fascist propoganda....

anyways, think i'm done ranting, lol neways, yeah that's some of my thoughts, ...America... is at its peak, which means, things are about to go down hill... fast...we can't rise above this, w/out some major civil disturbances, ...some major civil disobedience, but everyone's too chicken for that... so we stay in this forum and just keep talking about it...and not really doin' anything...about it...

the founding fathers are turning in their graves...at our mindlessness, and our failure to stand up and fight for what really matters...

Please take a stand, - join my site, we're new, but we're going to wage a HUGE strike - that'll... bring capitalism to its feet, worldwide, We call on all People's from all country's... that work for american companies, to join us, and when we reach 20million + we're going to go on strike for 2 weeks, till the gov't decides to give into some of our demands (they can't force us to work....)...

the biggest - union on earth is my goal....

A lot of what you said sounds true. I am not a Mormon, but I really don't think those "names" matter. I think that Jesus/God didn't want us to be doing (or supporting) what this administration is doing. I believe that any true Christians would see what is going on and would have not voted for Bush. That is what makes me so wary.
Bush uses the religous leaders in this country to gather his flock and gain votes, but when all of these "Religious" people are so obviously supporting so much evil, well....that spells close to the end of times to me. If not the end of times, a major upset. I don't believe that you mess with the man upstairs for too long of a time before you start to pay the price. I am not calling Bush the anti-Christ, but maybe he is a preview of what is to come. I think that our country has really turned the corner awhile ago when it comes to being the good guy. I don't know exactly when, but I beleive that it has been possibly in the 60's or 70's, it just hasn't been going straight down, it was going down a little more slowly, now I think that it is going straight down. We are the leaders of the World and yet we cannot maintain peace in Iraq and control it? That is a laugh, Iraq should be a cake walk for us. So the fact that we cannot take control of that country shows me that we are not as great as we think we are or Bush doesn't really want to put forth what is necessary to take control and Bush is milking the "War" for as much money as he can get for his cronies, or we are in much more serious trouble than any of us realize as a country. What really gets me though, Bush has obviously blundered it in many ways, yet so many Americans voted for this guy because he makes them "feel safe".

No, we went in to Liberate Iraqi's (20th reason given), yet we are in thier killing them, women and children alike, our "white hat" has a lot of blood on it and we will pay the price. I just pray to God that he isn't too hard on us - (meaning those opposing Bush), but I don't hold out much hope. Jesus was crucified and he didn't deserve his fate. So, I fear many of us won't deserve ours.
