2 years since & the Bush/ 9-11 questions REALLY get under skin of neo-cons
The following is a post that was just pulled from Free Republic, and I don't need to repost the idiotic retorts, but it is clear that we can now take the gloves off and hammer Bush for being asleep at the switch and allowing 9/11 to happen. This is Bush's achilles heel:

ZOT! What was Bush doing on September 11th 2001?

Posted on 09/03/2003 8:12 PM PDT by Active Opposition

WE'LL KEEP ASKING THE SAME QUESTIONS UNTIL WE GET ANSWERS: What was Bush doing on September 11th 2001? It makes no sense that Bush would listen to a story about a goat long after being told the US was under attack, and even after the Secret Service decided to immediately evacuate him from the school. It defies explanation that Air Force One's fighter escort took two hours to appear. And it is mind-boggling that there are seven different versions of how Bush learned about the first crash.

16. Yep: "George Bush please come to the principal's office"
they are pissing their pants at the thought of Bush being held accountable for 9/11.

10. Quite a few Pentagon victims probably do
could have used just a little NORAD defense instead of becoming victims to Bush's negligence.

4. ha, i saw that thread too
All the "retorts" boiled down to one essential point: "ban this person before s/he questions Bush again!"

I guess that's what happens when people can't fight back with facts.

12. their little brains can't take it
the thought that their fearless leader blew it and allowed 3000 people to die is just too much.

8. Al Franken's book is loaded with stories of neo-cons
freezing in their tracks when someone comes at them punching. Franken vs. Wolfowitz is great. Franken says something like, "How does it feel to win with Clinton's military?" Wolfowitz wittily replies, "Fuck you!"

This story in the London Telegraph has them all bent out of shape:

Bush 'will pay the price' for war on terror
(Filed: 31/08/2003)

Suicide bombing and the human and financial cost of occupying Iraq could spell the end of the Bush presidency, reports Julian Coman in Washington

Another week, another bomb. According to one White House adviser, August 19, the day suicide bombs exploded in Israel and at the United Nations headquarters in Baghdad, was "by far the worst political day for Bush since 9/11".

Friday's events in Najaf have deepened the sense of trepidation among President George W Bush's strategists and spinners.....
