Bill Moyers on Condi Rice!
Moyers does a great job in pointing out her failures in her testimony in front of the 9/11 commish, and her lies regarding the ramp up to the Iraq war. It's easy to forget what a person says so it's great to see all the tape on her. There is no doubt about her culpabilities in these matters. We'll miss Bill's show when he retires.
http://www.crooksandliars.com/ has the video in case you missed it.

1. I hope he has a chance to do a show on this
before he retires. (Maybe contrasting Powell's credentials with Rice's incompetence and why she REALLY got his job.)

10. Absolutely right - a huge smackdown.
This would have been a good piece to watch in October - it might have changed a few minds.

4. Some idiot from the American Enterprise Insititute called her a failure...
in a recent article. He then went on to describe the reasons or traits that caused her to be a failure as National Security Adviser would make her successful as Secretary of State.

This was on NPR last week.

6. Here's her whopper

"The overwhelming bulk of the evidence was that this was an attack that was likely to take place overseas."

—White House National Security Adviser Condoleezza Rice, in a May 16 news briefing.

You fuck up,you get a promotion in the bizarro bushworld.

7. Is Now going away or just Bill?
I was hoping David Braunchaio(sp) would continue the show.

9. He will. Just got an email from PBS--
We certainly share your disappointment that Bill Moyers has chosen to retire. Our programming team urged him to stay with NOW, but Mr. Moyers has determined that after turning 70 years old in June and completing more than 30 years in public broadcasting, it is time to pursue other interests, including a book he plans to write about Lyndon Johnson. We are very sorry that Mr. Moyers is leaving our air on a weekly basis, but pleased that NOW's current co-host David Brancaccio and executive producer John Siceloff will be working together on NOW WITH DAVID BRANCACCIO, which is scheduled to debut in January 2005.
