The Battle of the Amendments!

If the repukes want to support repealing the provision preventing foreign-born people from becoming president, I suggest that progressives promote an amendment of their own that might actually do some good, rather than addressing a rather small, technical issue.

Why aren't we promoting something like the following:

1. Amendment requiring all states to award their electoral college votes proportionally.
2. Amendment banning the practice of abridging an ex-felon's right to vote after their debt to society has been paid. (This could be part of a larger amendment guaranteeing the right to vote, addressing verifiable ballots, etc.).
3. Amendment requiring the Vice President, as president of the Senate, to submit to an open "question time" (like in the British parliament) from the Senators.
4. ... ???

That should get us started...

1. Let prisoners vote. Vermont does.

People serving time are still citizens.

Being in prison is their punishment. We don't need to add disenfranchisement to punish them.
