Possible proof that Ralph Reed is going STRAIGHT TO HELL
The damning proof was featured in a segment of NOW last Friday.

Two lobbyists - one a good friend from college with Ralph Reed and a pioneer Bush fundraiser. The other the former press secretary for Tom Delay. They ROBBED some Indian tribes - said they'd lobby for them while they stabbed them in the back. We are talking MILLIONS of dollars here. And their emails were RACIST and disgusting. I mean HORRIBLY racist. And they were openly GREEDY like those Enron thugs caught on tape. The segment had Sen. McCain just tearing them apart a hearing last week over this scandal. I think this scandal could be huge. Money was laundered to Reed through a phony think tank in Delaware that was no more than an empty beach house. The money had to be hidden cuz Reed is supposed to be against gambling and he couldn't take gambling money directly.

I don't think transcripts are up yet.

1. Reed is another
shiny face SOB. For sure. He does not believe in God. To his kind the concept of God is a tool.

16. Is that true?
Just think of it, if pictures or even a film were found of those two together... enjoying their "special moment" and it becomes public knowledge.

Oh, the joy of just imagining this!

to keep him out of the way. Remember that?

I'm thinking there's a correlation between (a) the more religious one pretends to be and (b) one's belief that curses actually work. He should be an easy mark.

25. Do Native Americans do curses?
I don't think so. But it does bring up a good point. What is their preferred method of seeking justice? I mean besides the courts?

30. Sure they do...
Have you heard of the "Cornstalk curse"?

"I was the friend of the borderman, many a time I have saved him and his people from harm. I never warred with you to protect our wigwams and our lands. I refused to join your pale face enemy. I came to your house a friend, and you murdered me. You have murdered my side, my son, the Young Chief Elinipsico; for this may the curse of the Great Spirit rest upon this spot; favored as it is by nature, may it ever be blighted in its hopes, its growth dwarfed: its enterprises blasted, and the energies of its people paralyzed by the stain of our blood."

Those words he uttered while dying from the murderous White man, still haunts Point Pleasant, WVA to this very day.

In the two hundred years since, any disaster suffered in Point Pleasant has given some residents occasion to remind others of this curse.

Then there's this one:

The "Zero Factor" and Tecumseh's Curse

Some folks believe that the curse of Indian chief Tecumseh has killed every U.S. President before the end of their term in office, if they were elected in a year that ended with 0. The first victim of the curse was William Henry Harrison, whose troops killed the Indian chief in 1813.

Harrison, elected in 1840, died of pneumonia after serving 31 days in office.

Lincoln, elected in 1860, assassinated.

Garfield, elected in 1880, assassinated.

McKinley, elected to a second term in 1900, assassinated.

Harding, elected in 1920, died of a stroke in 1923.

Roosevelt, elected to a third term in 1940, died of a cerebral hemorrhage in 1945.

Kennedy, elected in 1960, assassinated.

Reagan, elected in 1980, survived an attempted assassination. (Is the curse finally broken? We'll find out sometime

6. This is part of the stuff that Ronnie Earl is using to go after
Tom DeLay

It is totally disgusting.

The lobbyist took the money to help the Tigua Indians and then DeLay turned around and was very instrumental in haveing their very profitable casino shut down.

Moyers ripped Delay a new one. Moyers: "DeLay is so often under a cloud of scandal that he has to squint when the sun comes out." Yes, classic!

the one who works for the DLC. He is not related to Ralph Reed who is the Republican operative who organized the religious right and who claims to be religious.

12. Karma
I'm beginning to distrust the "laws" i grew up believing. How is it that the noblest of us are sacrificed, while those like Bush and the Bushs' all through history get to live long and prosper. How can a man do what the Tom Delay's and D.Hasserts, and all of them and go to sleep with a clear conscious, and be ok with themselves. How can people do that shit. Nothing makes sense anymore. Nothing ever comes back on them. They just keep taking and taking and taking. And when all is said and done and they've ruined all of our lives, they just go somewhere esle and keep on taking until the day they die, with no remorse. Where is the justice in this life.

I think I'm even more negative and cynical than the people on here, I think I'll go find a cave. Nobody is grumpier than me right now. Nobody can bitch as long as me about shit right now. Nobody wants to here my bitching either. I need a soccer ball like wilson just to bitch to non-stop. Maybe I'll take off work tommorrow and just do it all day. FUUUUUUCK im so angry about all the shit going on right now.

ok, I'll leave, I'm done Shit.

17. You're among friends. Let it out.
If you are not angry about what these people are doing, you're dead.

I don't believe in karmic rewards for doing good, but I just somehow need to hold on to the idea that people don't get to continue profiting from unconscionably evil deeds. When I think about how much George Bush has shamelessly profited from the deaths of thousands on 9/11, how much power he gained from his lies about Iraq, how much money Cheney and the warmongering profiteers have made while wiping an entire culture from the face of the Earth, I am sickened.

Doesn't there have to be some balancing of evil and good in the world? I think about the grievous suffering of the children of Falluja, and of the rending grief of the 9/11 families, and I wonder how this can possibly be happening. I see Bush using all this suffering to gather more and more power and money to himself and his cronies, and I wonder what can ever right these wrongs.

I wonder what can possibly heal the wounds this man and his followers have inflicted on the soul of the world?

22. To paraphrase the late Mickey Leland ...
....these people are evil violators of mothers.

Just speaking for myself here, I would say as morally revolting and discouraging as the state of things is, don't give up fighting these people. We can't give up now! People are counting on justice being delivered as soon as possible.

As for Reed, I always had the impression that the Christian Coalition was merely about capitalism and dispensing scorn on other people. You'd think a bunch of wholesome Christians would find, say, museums and PBS more wholesome than what Rupert Murdoch throws at us, but nooo. The CC would claim that government arts funding supported "pornography." In my book, there's nothing more obscene that someone who puts a buck before the good of the community.

24. Trust me...
... I know just how you feel.

When your last thread of idealism is shot to hell, when everything your parents raised you to be seems like chumpville.

The only thing I will not let happen is to become one of them. One of those people who does anything they can get away with, regardless of who it hurts.

Because way down deep, I still believe in karma, in a reckoning.

26. don't leave
We're all working to process the same information.

The only inspiration I can find is in the example of the Civil Rights movement, where people persevered for generations against brutal and humiliating and dehumanizing treatment. Somehow they found the strength to keep on. In the dark nights, with untold tears and fears, somehow they found strength. Finally, progress was made.

There's just no giving up on righteous pursuits, I fear. We have to lift each other up, bind the wounds, stand together, whisper the words of encouragement, and keep going.
