Green Party Election Results
http://www.gpus.org/2004election/pr_11_08_04.html

Greens now hold 212 elected offices. They have 311,000 registered members. That is not including memebers of the party in states where they are not on the ballot, so the number may be between 350-400,000 now. For having the progressive vote split three ways this year (Cobb, Nader, Kerry) they didn't do too badly for themselves. They are now launching a 200,000 dollar media campaign. they took out an ad in the New York Times with this. http://www.gpus.org/morningafter.pdf
I am starting to like them more and more!

1. From what I've seen....
Some of the economic issues between these minor parties seem somewhat childish and not well-thoughtout. That may very well be my own bigotry so don't hold me accountable.

It really is a clever print ad. The butts that grab the eye.

5. I'm seriously thinking about re-registering Green.
If the Dems don't stop behaving like invertebrates, I'm finding a new Party.

6. I have been saying that for
5 years now about the Democrats. They just keep getting worse. I think I am done. I will still vote Dem nationally but I think I will register Green and vote Green locally. They gained my respect with the recent vote counting they have spearheaded and their safe state plan in the presidential election. They showed maturity.

7. I've voted Green 3 times.
Edited on Mon Nov-22-04 08:05 PM by a kennedy
and that's not just because I'm 100% (as much as our family line here in the States can be), Irish. Kidding, I love the Green Party's ideology. The social justice part always gets me pumped. Social Justice. Doesn't that really say what values means??? Social Justice. That's what all of us here at DU need to start discussing with family, friends, fellow Dems, and Greens. Social Justice, that to me actually says it all. Social Justice, a fair and living wage, an environment that has fresh water to drink and clean air to breathe. A community, either, local, state, or federal that takes care of the brothers and sisters that don't make up the top 10%. Yeah, I've voted Green 3 times.......wish we Dems, Progressives and Greens could bind this voting business into huge, and I mean huge number to rock this nation on it's ear. WE NEED A CHANGE!!!

8. I am interested.
I don't care if they ever win an election. I am voting my conscience if I vote at all, til the day I die. No more voting for the frat buddy of the other guy.

9. Greens have the potential to make some headway here in Hawaii
especially on the Northern part of Maui and the Pahoa district of Hawaii. Keiko Bonk was a former Green county council member from Pahoa.

And why is Gonzalez retiring?
