Bush might become a lame duck very early in his second term.
It's a thought. A real possibility.

2. Lame is an opportunity.
He doesn't have to worry about offending anyone.

I wouldn't pin my hopes on lame.

3. I'm not pinning my hopes. I'm wondering if the GOP will crack up
when it considers that after the idiot the deluge. Someone will have to be the heir. If Bush remains unpopular, if his lame-brained policies have their expectedly poor results, then he will actually become not just lame but impotent. Lame ducks are ones that can't get very far. I'm not saying it will happen. Just that it could. It's not outside the realm of possibility. The Bushists are killer campaigners, but they really, really suck at governing.

6. If he gets opposition from Congress, get ready for major fearmongering.
They'll ramp it up big time.

7. i can feel it already
Americans seem to always turn around at the last minute before utter destruction before they wake up. Global warming ahhh I haven't noticed anything yet. Poison in the water, ahhh I haven't seen anyone die yet. The draft, ahhh they haven't said anything about it yet.

I think Bush's downfall will come when the next problem creeps up in another country that requires our military and our forces are stretched so thin we will have to have a draft and even after that will be spread too thin.

All of this huge mess will help the political pendulum to swing back way to the left or we'll all be dead before then.

8. I'm starting to hear complaints
about the hard right turn the repukes have taken. Their so-called "mandate" is offending people when their IRAs don't go up.
