Suspend it and imagine that you're an uninvolved, apolitical, but not really dumb person living "somewhere" in America.

How do the issues we so hotly debate/discuss here affect you?

Does any issue really scare you? Give you hope? Cause you to move your money from Wall Street to gold stocks? Make you want to buy a bomb shelter? Put your kids in private school? Move to Canada?

I'm trying to get a sense of what some who, very unlike me, doesn't obsess over this shit. Why? Because I want to know how to actually affect and then engage them.

It seems my own circle of friends is pretty much engaged. I need a different perspective.

If the Patriot 2 is passed, I will probably be labeled as a traitor. I support the Constitution, not the people in the government. The US is dead. We are in a dictatorship. Also those science fiction movies have turned into reality.
