1. Ask him why Walmart is turning its back on rape victims. |
|
Walmart will not dispense the morning after pill to rape and incest victims, well to anyone.

8. Walmart "it was a business decision" |
|
Pharmacies At The Center Of The Abortion Debate By Dana Davis, The Asheville Tribune
Wal-mart has won the support of pro-life organizations and, subsequently, upset pro-choice organizations by refusing to carry the FDA approved Preven product in its stores. Pro-choice groups refer to the product as a form of emergency contraception. Pro-life advocates argue that it is basically an over-the-counter abortion.
Robin Davis, regional coordinator for National Organization for Women (NOW) says she thinks it's a political decision. (NOW's various chapters across the country have picketed Wal-mart, protesting their policy not to carry Preven.) "The Walton family is anti-choice. I think they succumbed to pressures not to carry this. They are not only against abortion, they are against the most effective forms of birth control, including this one. Preventing implantation is preventing pregnancy, not terminating pregnancy."
PREVEN is manufactured by privately-held Gynetics Inc. of New Jersey. Company chairman Roderick Mackenzie told Reuters, "We don't perceive Wal-Mart's decision as a moral-ethical-religious decision. It's got to be business because they're already dispensing $100 million worth of pills." (CNS -- Charismatic News Service, May 31, 1999)
Wal-Mart spokesman Jay Allen concurred, " It was a business decision pure and simple. The company took into consideration customer demand, its current product mix of birth control pills and the kit's sale potential."
However, The Minneapolis Star Tribune reported that Wal-Mart has never excluded another drug, and its decision not to sell Preven came after a request from Pharmacists for Life International. http://www.ashevilletribune.com/walmart.htm

5. Q: Where do Walmart employees go when they get sick? |
|
A: They go to the hospital Q: Which hospital? A: The county hospital Q: Who pays for it, then? A: Taxes
That was just paraphrasing. It was a terrific interview on the spur of the moment. Bernie is always good. He really kept his cool.

6. "If something happens, where does a Walmart employee go for health care?" |
|
Manager: "To the county hospital."
Bernie: "And who pays the bill at the county hospital?"
Manager: "The taxpayers pay part of it."
BULLSHIT! The taxpayers pay ALL of it.

Slave wages, little or no health insurance and they demand free hours fron it's employees. This is all well known fact.
If the republicans want to set up a table for their recalls or other petitions, Wal-Mart's always is there for the republicans.
And now this Fundamental Christian bullshit--A woman's right to choose is 100% legal in this country and so is the morning after pill.
Fuck Wal-Mart!!!!

Most of the cars I see parked in their lot, have some type of Jesus Jumping bumper stick on them.
They're not going to mess with a group that spends their entire paycheck at the company store.
