The House adjourned - what happened?
I was checking C-Span earlier but didn't see when they started covering the House of Representatives business. I needed to be away and only caught when they were adjourning.

Did they deal with *the* issue of the income tax forms that the Senate exploded about the other day? I saw something about their extending the funding of the government, according to C-span. But I must have misunderstood something as the House had already passed the Omnibus Bill.

Thanks in advance for any help with this.

3. Dems wanted 2 weeks to find out who did it - so vote in early Dec.
Theory is that after correction there would be no pressure to find out who did and put a stop to it.

5. Does this mean the gov't is on temporary funding?
I guess so, since Bush* didn't sign the Omnibus Bill into law yet.

4. House will reconvene Dec 6th.....Pelosi wouldnt let them
move without a rollcall vote...not sure how simple rollcall vote lasting an hour could cause it to be moved...unless of course they all had planes to catch...Hmmm.

7. Pelosi STOOD UP tot he repukes
and no one on DU seems to know but you.

She DEMANDED debate on this issue so the Dems could get to the bottom of it, but you won't hear DUers praising her for STANDING UP on principle

9. I praise her for it. We need more of that.
The problem is that this is the first I've heard about it. We need better "get out the information" services, as well as get out the vote. We really need a Progressive News Network or some such.

Plus, it is hard to praise people for ***doing their job***. Praise should be generally reserved for going above and beyond the call of duty, or for performing exceptionally.

10. Thanks sangh0
I'm glad to learn about her firm stand on this and am really sorry that I missed the coverage. The Senate coverage the other night was wild and there were several lengthy threads on DU as we watched it together.

Maybe we could use a C-Span forum or some sort of forum dedicated to the coverage of the House and Senate. I was hunting all over for a thread to post my original question but couldn't find a thread.

Woodruff (ugh) is covering it right now. Nice to see some of the statements made on the floor. Dems rubbing it in.
