What separates our loss of democracy from others is that in other
countries, it is usually the coming to power of a strong man of the Hitlerian or Mussolini type;in our case it is the coming to power of a nonentity, a moron, a coward and a drug addict/alcoholic.He has not merely managed to convince a large number of people of his charm and his being one of them despite his aristocratic lineage, but has made them believe he is the instrument to avenge the pain inflicted by terrorists on this country. So, everything he does or says is now acceptable and any faults that are found in his reasoning are not his, but those of his critics.I think he may well be the first of a new breed of politicians, men without any substance who can manufacture a new personality for themselves and sell themselves much like the products on TV commercials.

3. What separates our loss of democracy
