My contention is with someone who's ONLY posts on this board are to defend Britney Spears. That smacks of something weird and screwy with said person, especially if you're of adult age. Why do you have this obsession and feel so compelled to defend Britney? It's truly bizarre unless you ARE Britney or a good friend of hers, which I doubt either is the case. As I've said before, my theory is you have some sort of mental deficiency or psychological problem. I suggest you give yourself a good, long hard look and try to understand your obsession or seek help. Your behavior is not healthy. That being said, I wish you luck, you'll need it.

It's not like I've never attacked Britney before. However, in the past it was related to her music, image, and behavior rather than her politics. This new revelation just fits a pattern of idiocy she's been maintaining for several years.

I think she would have made the same statement almost regardless of whom the Prez is. It's so typical of Americans who don't pay attention to the political realm in the least or get most of their news from Letterman and Conan. Maybe this will be her wake-up call once the backlash sets in. CNN is still making fun of her this morning. The gum-smacking and shrieking during the interview probably didn't help.

I didn't attack Britney. I made a sarcastic remark about someone comming to her defense because I thought it was funny that someone would get in such a huff defending a vacuous pop star.

I agree with you that Britney has a right to say what she wants. Unlike those who critisized the Dixie Chicks however, I haven't seen anybody accuse Britney of being unAmerican, saying that she should shut up, or trying to organize a boycott against her. So, in that regard, we are not acting "just like republicans."

She sure sounded not terribly bright! They showed Morgan Freeman's successful restaurant in Alabama? or Mississippi? or someplace around there. And I forget who else's.

Britney's was in New York and was called NYLA. Of course she had nothing to do with running the place except for adding her name, but they claimed she picked some menu items. She said, "I'm a real home girl, man. I just loooove stuff like fried chicken!" She sounded really fake , as if she ever eats that! They said the place did not last very long.

At least her publicist is. That kiss she gave Madonna surely got people talking....and we're still talking about it. Poor Christina, no one is talking about her. Tsk Tsk.

But I won't talk bad about Britney, I thought her first hit was pretty good and she is pretty (too much make up though) with a nice figure. She does come across as an airhead but what the heck, there's plenty of those around. Put yourself in the other poster's place that was defending Britney, he/she probably didn't like reading the things people were writing about their number one entertainer and he/she got defensive.

And what Britney said about Bush was understandable. I'm telling ya, she would have said that no matter who was sitting (or squatting) in the White House. SHE IS NOT PAYING ATTENTION!

I do envy Britney Spears. She has it all (at least right now), I just hope she smarten up and invest the millions that she is making wisely.
