I have a stack of cardstock and envelopes, and I am brainstorming for ideas. Since I have family who are stupid enough to have voted for *, I am trying to come up with an idea that sends a message. To me, John Lennon's music is universal. His lyrics have been heard all over the globe. If there is any one song that brings me to tears, it's "Imagine". I am thinking of sending my Christmas cards simply with the lyrics of this song. Or, I could include the lyrics of "Happy Christmas (War Is Over)". Any preference? Here are the lyrics: Imagine Imagine there's no heaven,it's easy if you try, no hell below us, above us only sky. Imagine all the people, living for today... Imagine there's no countries, it isn't hard to do,nothing to kill or die for,no religion too. Imagine all the people living life in peace... You may say I'm a dreamer, but I'm not the only one, I hope some day you'll join us,and the world will live as one. Imagine no possessions,I wonder if you can,no need for greed or hunger,a brotherhood of man. Imagine all the people, sharing all the world... You may say I'm a dreamer, but I'm not the only one, I hope some day you'll join us,and the world will live as one.
Happy Christmas (War Is Over) And so this is Christmas, and what have you done? Another year over, and a new one just begun. And so this is Christmas, I hope you have fun, The near and the dear ones, the old and the young. A very Merry Christmas, and a Happy New Year. Let's hope it's a good one, without any fear. And so this is Christmas, for weak and for strong, For rich and for poor ones, the war is so wrong. And so happy Christmas, for black and for white, For yellow and red ones, let's stop all the fight. A very Merry Christmas, and a Happy New Year. Let's hope it's a good one, without any fear. So this is Christmas, and what have you done? Another year over, and a new one just begun. And so happy Christmas, I hope you have fun, The near and the dear ones, the old and the young. A very Merry Christmas, and a Happy New Year. Let's hope it's a good one, without any fear.
