Yes there are exceptions to the rule of not having a degree as well as those with one that "fail".

But the fact is about 25% or so of the population will do FINE no matter how far Bush goes (Qualified by the systemic problems ((Like the Dollar collapsing)) that may make my comparisons moot), this is the basis of the class war that will erupt sooner or later.

But since things happen faster now days I'm guessin sooner rather than later....

7. I was surprised to see some of the numbers...

I had always assumed that more people had higher education degrees.
Only 5.9% of the population has Masters degrees,
2.0% of the population has professional degrees,
and 1.0% of the population has doctorate degrees.

With all the complaints about lawyers being a dime a dozen, I expected the professional degrees to be MUCH higher. Very interesting...

I just applied to grad school and will come out with a Masters in Physician Assistant Studies...I thought there were alot more people with bachelors and masters degrees...Although, I will only be the second person in my family to get a masters degree...my mom was first and she got hers when she was 43 (she is now 46). I guess we are the real minority in this country.

According to this, 40% of voters have college degrees, but I remember reading there's a high correlation between education and voting -- the more education you have, the more likely you are to vote.

Anyway, Bush won the four year degree crowd, which doesn't surprise me as the vast majority of people who simply shuffle through to get their degrees are doing so to fulfill middle class expectations rather than from any desire to learn. Also white people, who are the Republican Party for all intents and purposes, are much more likely to have a degree than minorities.

It's hard enough to get a good job as a young college grad. When my grandfather graduated from college, any college graduate could walk right into a good paying job. Now there are so many people with college degrees that many of us don't get good jobs. There are jobs around here that require a 4 year degree and only pay $9.00. We'd really be in trouble if more people got degrees. Better cut Federal loans and grants.
No, I am not really that selfish, but some people are. These people were probably Bush voters.
Strengthening the economy through science and technology to bring everyone up is more the answer, which Kerry offered that would be good for both college grads and non college grads.
