'Unusual Weapons' Used in Fallujah ......(poison gas)
http://www.commondreams.org/headlines04/1126-01.htm

BAGHDAD, Nov 26 (IPS) - The U.S. military has used poison gas and other non-conventional weapons against civilians in Fallujah, eyewitnesses report..

”Poisonous gases have been used in Fallujah,” 35-year-old trader from Fallujah Abu Hammad told IPS. ”They used everything -- tanks, artillery, infantry, poison gas. Fallujah has been bombed to the ground.”

Hammad is from the Julan district of Fallujah where some of the heaviest fighting occurred. Other residents of that area report the use of illegal weapons.

”They used these weird bombs that put up smoke like a mushroom cloud,” Abu Sabah, another Fallujah refugee from the Julan area told IPS. ”Then small pieces fall from the air with long tails of smoke behind them.”

He said pieces of these bombs exploded into large fires that burnt the skin even when water was thrown on the burns. Phosphorous weapons as well as napalm are known to cause such effects. ”People suffered so much from these,” he said.

Macabre accounts of killing of civilians are emerging through the cordon U.S. forces are still maintaining around Fallujah.

more....

2. So remind me, did economic or moral ruin precede Russia's fall
Of course it may not matter since it looks like we are jumping in with both feet.

I hope more than believe the US didn't use a poison gas on Fallujah, but even if the US used a nonlethal gas to disable the populace, the US leaders will spend time in jail and the country as we once knew it is forever lost

3. Thanks for this article. I've heard some of these incidents elsewhere, too
I pray the truth of what has happened in Fallujah will be made entirely public one day. I've always heard that good will triumph in the end. It's really about time that long withheld justice will prevail.

Unchecked power has run riot. Terrible, terrible pity no one is big enough to take a stand on our side among the ones who could do something.

What a low, deceitful, sneaky, laughable bunch of Republicans we've got terrorizing the world. Singly, they are simply pathetic losers. In a small, nasty cluster, they are savage.

4. Newsweek backs his story
http://msnbc.msn.com/id/6479801/site/newsweek/
"At intervals, white phosphorus rounds would illuminate entire sections of the city, showering down balls of orange flame and leaving behind smoky jellyfish-shaped silhouettes. "

6. I am moving this out of LBN because the source is questionable
Commondreams.org is not LBN, and IPS, the original source, says
"Sources: Through its news service, IPS offers stories containing a variety of sources that provide all relevant sides of an issue, with a unique editorial angle: from the perspective of civil society and of the South. This editorial viewpoint, however, does not mean bias or compromising the quest for truth.
IPS does not discriminate against sources, but is committed to mainstreaming gender perspectives in its coverage. Likewise, civil society and 'grassroots' sources are essential to almost any IPS news story."

9. In his defense, I'd say Dahr Jamail has been providing some of the best
...reporting coming out of Iraq.

Yes, Dahr mixes in editorial content with his reporting, but I forgive him for this, considering what he's witnessing every day.

12. One of Shithead's constant talking points during the campaign
was "Saddam was evil and we had to eliminate him because he gassed his own people".

I guess he approves of it now because they aren't our people.
