MoveOn's "Leave No Voter Behind" |
|
In retrospect, what do you think of it?
They raised $5 million (if I'm remembering correctly) and they could have raised much more if they kept asking. I wonder if they underfunded it.

1. I want to know where they are now |
|
and why they aren't investigating this fraud of an election.
I gave them only time, not money. And I am glad I made that choice now because their lack of attention to the election fraud is most disappointing.
I can only hope that someone from moveon is reading this and will respond.

2. If you want it done right, do it yourself. |

I'm really upset, proud2Blib hasn't overturned the election yet!
All proud2Blib does is waste time posting about how proud2Blib is upset because moveon hasn't overturned the election yet.
Ok, i'm being a bit sarcastic, I admit. I like moveon for what they did. But they are a 527 which means they are an educational group, and they can't legally sue to get a recount.
I am not a moveon memeber and I have no idea what they are up to right now. But i don't blame them for "not doing" anything.
Sheesh, please quit looking for whipping boys and call them up and ask them what you and they can do to help. And if they can't do what you want them to, then start something that can. Pointing fingers gets you and me and moveon no where.

3. The top of the MoveOn homepage says "Investigate the Vote" |
|
with a petition for us to sign, so I don't think they're ignoring voting-issues. http://www.moveon.org/front/

5. Leave No Voter Behind was primarily |
|
a grass roots volunteer effort to identify Kerry supporters who have a poor history of making it to the polls on election day, and to make sure they get there. As I understand it, the money was used to provide the organizational support for that primarily volunteer effort - computer systems and programs to organize and record voter information, and organizer staff to support the local volunteers.
The primary problem in my neck of the woods was a lack of volunteers willing to pound the pavement. I was a precinct leader and was promised a precinct of 150 voters and around 10 helpers. My precinct ended up having about 500 voters. I dug up two part time volunteers, and was assigned 4 out of state phone volunteers (who were wonderful, but inherently less effective than door knockers). Money wouldn't have solved that problem - it was bodies on the ground that were needed.
