A very happy ending for one of DU's adopted soldiers |

My friend Mary (who got us all the names ) told me that Jimmy (her son) struck up a pen pal/phone relationship with a girl who was sending stuff to them too.
She sent him a care package shortly after he arrived..(she did not know him..just sent stuff like we did)..She included her picture and asked him to write back..
They are getting married in january..
Since he returned home and managed to get out of the army (he was stop-lossed a few times)..he said life is too short to miss a minute of it..
apparently they did not wait very long, since Mary's gonna be a grandma too ...
Now another friend has her 18 yr old headed to Iraq.. When he gets settled, Lori will get names and apos from his unit..

3. My adopted soldier has returned home |
|
And I'm ready for another, or maybe two this time. If you end up PMing the addresses, please add me to the list.
Thanks!!
P.S. I agree with Mary's son. Life is way too short and we need to take advantage of every minute. Happy for him and his new partner.
