13. I wish you hadn't posted that, knowing DUers
they would rather look at the stupid freepers than the brilliant folks from here and around the world.

I wanted this to be a nice happy thread.

62 pages of white macho males (mostly)and their guns and filler on the pages to make 62. Whats the other site now??? Around 640 or so. A nice snapshot of pro and anti war citizens.

That's a lot of work to go through in order to make it look like a popular site.

34. Imitation
Although I believe the 'werenotsorry.com' site is a sicko site indeed :nuke:, you have to admit that it is just another example of the RW rethugs not being able to conceive nor express an original idea of their own!

11. That site confirms every stereotype about Bush voters
I've checked it out and it cracks me up. It's almost entirely pasty white fat guys with the occassional imbred-looking female. Many of the signs they are holding up have even simple words spelled incorrectly. Bunch of fucking moronic freeptards.

35. It's amazing what it does to perception
When you look at those pictures knowing they're Bush supporters, they look less attractive to me. I think if I didn't know their affiliation, they'd probably look normal. But alas...

Pretend they're Kerry supporters, and see if they get any better lookin'.

Edited on Mon Nov-29-04 10:44 AM by Melodybe
around the world.

Why do ya'll insist on focusing on the negative!

That is exactly what is wrong with us at DU, now I wish that the mods would just lock the thread. Cause if you guys are just going to talk about the freepers and not the worldly unity then I would rather no one else post on this thread at all.

18. Maybe...
...it's because we've all seen these websites before, and we've already talked about the worldly unity, and we've had it up to HERE with rainbows and unicorns...

It's always trouble when you desire a certain kind of response to a thread you start. Even among us here at DU, there are differences of opinion and viewpoint. You'll never get what you wanted.

20. Maybe if folks that have only posted a few times at DU
would quit shitting on every nice thread that pops up we wouldn't be so quick to call all newbies freepers.

I hadn't seen these sites until last night and I am on here all the time. For those that are not sick of "rainbows and unicorns" I thought I would share.

There can never be enough threads about world unity b/c that is what this world needs, sorry it makes you so sick.

To quote Charlie Chaplin from the Great Dictator:

"The airplane and the radio have brought us closer together. The very nature of these inventions cries out for the goodness in man-cries for universal brotherhood-for the unity of us all. Even now my voice is reaching millions throughout the world-millions of despairing men, women, and little children-victims of a system that makes me torture and imprison innocent people. To those who can hear me, I say: 'Do not despair." The misery that is now upon us is but the passing of greed-the bitterness of men who fear the way of human progress. The hate of men will pass, and dictators die, and the power they took from the people will return to the people. And so long as men die, liberty will never parish."

Ok, I've gone and quoted some on my favorite lines ever uttered in a motion picture, I hope that their sentiment is not lost on you. I firmly believe that websites like this are a great example of the longing mankind has to be at peace with itself. The idea of a better world that can be shared by every person on this earth, if that offends you I'm sorry.

24. World unity makes me sick.
Sorry, never said that. I rather like the concept. You can bash me for my low post count, but don't put words in my mouth.

Alls I was saying is that you're trying too hard to mold the content of responses here. It's the internet: a control freak's worst nightmare.

25. Oh I totally agree with you there and I do admit that I am guilty
of doing just that, but I am within my own right to voice my own opinion of how the conversation is going, You guys obviously aren't taken my pleas to seriously.

Why, oh, why do duer's insist on responding to the negative and NEVER responding to the positive.

I am in the mood for being optimistic, for looking at the bright side of things.

Yes, in todays world there is not too much to be positive about but the fact that thousands of people worldwide have responded to a couple of web sites just to say that they want better for this world is uplifting.

But as per usual folks here would rather spew vile and hatred on freepers.

I started this thread wanting to heal not argue and fight.

And so I'll end with lot's of love from a dorky but still good looking gal and to tell you to lighten up the world is not only doom and gloom.

28. I hear you, and agree.
The world is really a better place than many here make it seem. That said, there is much work to be done, and lots of room for improvement.

So run with your mood of optimism, and do look at the bright side of things. Don't, however, expect all others to share in your sunshine. At the same time, don't be discouraged by them, either. In the end, we all wish for peace...

Floodgates have now been opened.

I've never fought so hard for anything my whole life.

I fought along with some of the most loving and creative, compassionate and courageous people I have ever known and they all constitute a blessing that has eternal measure.

Thank you for these sites. I've already added them to my "Favorites" and will pass them along for inspiration.

I mean.. think about it! sorryeverybody.com was mentioned on the dutch news, maybe other countries know about that site as well, and I don´t know if it gets a lot of media attention in the US, but another hundred pages of photos saying: "bush stole the election" must cause some media attention right? This could really work
