Sunday morning talk shows peddling toxic dog shit
Yesterday morning, I watched Russert let Jerry Falwell run amok with his insane rantings. Russert didn't even stop Falwell when he continually interrupted other guests who could be considered sane.

Then Bob Schaeffer (sp?) had Bob Woodward on as one of his guests. When asked what he thought about Condi being appointed Secretary of State, the Great Nixon Slayer became the Great Bush Ass Kisser and told us how George believes in what he's doing. Woodward has either become a Bush pimp, or there's something material in it for him. Either way, he's sold his soul.

Then George Stephanopolis lets George Will rant about election fraud in the Ukraine, but not a word from anyone about election fraud here at home.

I can't wait to see all of the "moral" Bush voters express their outrage when they finally grasp just how badly they've been screwed.

(I posted a version of this yesterday after these shows, but very few people were on line.)

7. I wish that I too could just throw the TV out the window, however,

how do you counter the enemy if you don't know what they're up to?

And by "the enemy" I mean the radical right, fundamentalists who think Torquemada was a great guy, imbeciles who still believe Nixon was a victim of liberals, other imbeciles who still believe that Robert Bork is a great thinker, and still other imbeciles who think that Anita Hill slandered Clarence Thomas.

Not to mention hypocritical rednecks who have hidden their KKK sheets (for the time being), and isolationists who hate (non-white, non-Anglo-Saxon) immigrants And morons who mouth "Christian" pieties and cast votes against their own interests because of their blind, bigoted ignorance and hatreds. (And no, they don't all live in the south.)

Want to know who they are? Turn on the TV any Sunday morning, or just watch FOX News.

8. TV Free Is Not For Everyone - To Counter, I Read Voraciously
Having no family makes this much easier.

In general, I am better informed.

I like the recaps because I use these as barometers of were the media reporting is at any given time - Sort of a "mood" of the media type of thing.

2. I watched all of them, also. I fully agree with you. I don't watch FOX
anymore, but I always flip from one to another. I am tired of all the ass kissing in this country.

3. I watched George Stephanopolis...
I hardly miss his show. I really loved the evangelical people who just don't understand why we don't agree with them.

Then, I watched part of Wolf Blitzer (please don't ask me why)...Who's the bigger threat - Iran or North Korea? My husband (politically oblivious) said, "Hey, why aren't WE on that list?" I explained that we are liberators, silly, not a threat, and changed the channel.

4. Why do they even bother to continue with this bullshit "theater"
These shows love to pretend we still have a democracy to talk about.

6. I missed the McLaughlin Report (sp)
What happened there? That's the one show I try not to miss on Sunday.

Yet, I still can't spell it.

12. Well, you'd be surprised then.
Lately, he's been on e of the fairest arbiters of the issues.

He is basically a moderator, but he has made it clear that he thinks much of Bushco's bs stinks.

13. What turned me off was his tone more than his politics.
The man is such a pompous, loud-mouthed, opinionated cretin that I couldn't take watching him. Anytime Eleanor-what's-her-name got to say anything, he'd cut her off, step on her like a bug, and impose his own declaration of "WRONG," over whatever she just said.

This show was like listening to Rush Limbaugh, but you had to watch him on top of it.

14. I used to think the same.
Then I finally realized his bluster was much like that of Muhammed Ali. He is sort of a self-parody.

My opinion of him has changed completely. He was one of the first to go out on limb against BushCo and the war, when everyone else was kissing ass or sitting on their hands.

Mclaughlin has a great sense of humor, and has gone to great lengths to accommodate Eleanor, lately. Often fending off Tony Blankley's boorish efforts to talk over her.

9. TV free since November 3rd
Well, not entirely. Being in Denver, we watch the Broncos games, and the kids have their Nickelodeon. But otherwise, no more cable TV or TV news per se. And we haven't missed it a bit.

So, thanks for the recap!

10. MSM free since Nov.3
DishTV has so many wonderful other channels: Learning Channel, Travel Channel, FoodTV, Discovery Channels, Speed Channel, Cartoon Network, Movie channels, and the one channel that has literally save my sanity -Comedy Central- (and not just because of Jon Stewart).

But forget the MSM. I still have trouble with Washington Journal, I used to be amused by some of the re-pug call-ins, but now I'm just too disgusted to even listen to their shit.

15. Thomas Kean also vouched for Bush's sincerity
"toxic dog shit" is too kind to describe rotten stinking liars like Woodward and Kean telling us yokels that the obviously corrupt chimp "means what he says." :puke:
