On Maury Povich...another "Who's the daddy show!" |
|
Flipping through the channels I stopped to watch the Maury Povich show....And what should it be but another one of his specialties....Young women and their assorted men friends on stage participating in this disgusting display of "Who's the Daddy?".... The woman and the "accused" assortment of men sit there while Maury reads from his DNA report who the father of her child is. The thing that is so repulsive to me is that the little children are dragged on stage to be a part of the circus ...I think this is child abuse....Where is FCC's Michael Powell's outrage at this obscenity?.....Is Janet Jackson's nipple more of a moral concern than the exploiting of small children on TV for Maury's ratings?......Every time I see one of these horrible shows (I can't take more than a few minutes of them) I am so saddened for these poor innocent children.....The hypocrisy of the moral decisions by the FCC involved here is appalling!

1. I think on those talk shows they should put (R), (D), (G), or (I) after |
|
the guests name. Then we can see how many Rethuglicans don't know who's their daddy.

2. I'm not generally home during the day, |
|
but it seems like this is all he does...when I'm home sick, that's ALWAYS his show. That, or drill sgts yelling at teenagers.

3. I couldn't agree more................ |

How dare the parents, the host, or the network/cable station use these children a ratings bait to their emotional harm. I get sick with most daytime television anyway.

4. I caught part of one when I was home on Friday |
|
It was in the afternoon - Montel Williams? They kept showing the little girl while the mother said "look at her eyes, they are his eyes!" and things like that. The only reason I can think of why these women lose their protective feelings toward their own children is that they are so full of rage at the men.
I'm usually working during the day so if that was the show the one day I was home to see it, those shows are probably on an awful lot. The audience was cruel too. Those little kids are really alone out there on the stage. I couldn't watch more than 5 minutes.

Was Montel. The mother did a, "Look at her eyes! She's got his eyes!" When they read the DNA results, the accused wasn't the father. He did a victory lap around the set.
The worst results were for these two stupid young kids - both under 21 and married. The "man" knew that his wife had cheated on him, and they wanted to make sure her kid was also his. He was one of those "sensitive" cowboy types, and he broke down when he found out the kid wasn't his, but there was grandma (the woman's mom) immediately on stage consoling him, telling him it didn't matter because he was the baby's daddy now. Conniving bitch just didn't want him to leave her unfaithful daughter, who would probably move back in with mom. And the dumbass stayed with her.

6. If these so-called adults want to make fools of themselves on TV that's |
|
their right, but what I can't take is when they involve bringing on stage the innocent children, who usually look confused or frightened or both! I think that's criminal.

There were no children on stage on the episode I saw. They put pictures or video feeds of them up on the big monitor, and they were all under 1-year-old so not very cognizant of what was going on.
