3. And a Clean Shave
Leno asked him if he turned Republican.

Michael said he just came from CBS audition for Rather's position, figured they might want someone without an agenda.

Moore also quipped he dressed for his IRS audit.

Leno asked him what he thought about the election, MM said bush got more votes. Said he Jay don't have anything to worry about, they have 2 health plans and bushes tax cuts benefit him greatly. This is some scary stuff

There is no way he can be so against Bush before the election and now become so for Bush. He must have been threatened by the Bush crime family. Doesn't make sense at all.

They didn't have a better story because they didn't legitimately win.

24. He Said Boosh Had A Better 'Story'. Repigs Are Better Storytellers
"He got on a pile of debris with a bullhorn and told us he would protect us from terrorists."

Maybe we should take MM at face value. He is reflecting, regrouping, and preparing for the next fight.

Why is it that if someone does not come out spewing invective against Boosh and the GOP it is instantly assumed they have drank the kool-aide. Maybe they are trying to find a new approach to get the message out.

35. Well, he DID "get" more votes
Were they legitimate votes? Or Diebold votes? Some clever bastard adding an extra zero in the right place?

If he said he WON more votes I'd be more concerned.

And he's right, the GOP has more sweet little stories than Aesop has fables.

Don't lose hope. We have to avoid the LOSERMAN label. Best way to get someone is to smile in their face (all the time they wanna take your place) and BACKSTAB the bastards.

Whatever works...they pull a knife, we gotta pull a gun. Playtime is over, we have to beat them at their own game. We can do it with the simple truth, but we have to get the message out there.

38. I watched it and that is exactly what I was going to say----
I think he has been "gag ordered" from the higher ups in the Dem party. Think about it. This is very serious stuff we are trying to expose that could result in criminal charges against many Repub operatives. If MM started being sarcastic and ranting about a stolen election. the Repubs would seize on it to discredit our movement as a whole.

He made several dry references that those of us in the know would understand. He acknowledged his controversial persona when he discussed his "Rather interview" ; he kept answering Jay with "he got more votes" that does not mean he thinks he got them legally. He also kept referring to "Bush's strong story" STORY being the emphasis here.

I got the same feeling watching him as I did when Kerry came out with the internet video.

Things are still brewing folks!

47. I hope you're right
Trouble is it's useless to try to win any new converts to the cause by using sarcasm. Too subtle for the republican brain to handle. MM couldn't turn enough people by hitting them over the head with a movie(even though few of the Bush faithful watched it I'm sure.)so acting like he's been turned is only going to fuel them. That or he probably is a clone ;O)

BTW-Greetings and salutations. I'm a long time reader and business owner in upstate NY and I finally decided to join the fray, even though I'm sure it will cause me to be visited by the men in black sometime in my life. As you know. The Shadow knows. Peace.

42. He might be sending a new message with this conservative image
of his, but what that message is I'm not quite sure.

At the worst extreme, maybe he feels he can get conservatives to watch his flick now by taking on this ultra-conservative image himself.

At best, maybe his image is a big mockery or goof of everything that's going on in this country. This goofy new image could be a big dressup act...kind of like an analogy to the Bush/Republican illusion of doing things.

Then again, maybe he wants to give the Democratic party a break from his association with it or something, and this is his way of distancing himself. Who the hell knows.

One thing I didn't like at all was the fact that he gave Bush credit at least two times, one of them being when he said Bush won because he got more votes. Even if he was being sarcastic at other times, he still came off as sucking up a little to the chimp. Very boring & passionless interview.

The scene in "The Godfather" comes to mind. "keep your friends close and your enemies closer." it works both ways. Get close to your enemy and give them a false sense of security. GW is dumb enough to fall for it. Hope he doesn't read this forum ;O)
