New term: Homicide Bomber....

Just saw this on foxnews.com (I know, but we still need to keep an eye on them).

It looks like they are trying to do away with any sympathic connotation that the term Suicide Bomber might have.

Watch for this to be the new buzz word. It will start on Fox, but will work it's way into CNN and MSNBC and the others soon.

I actually hear someone in say it, not a pundit, but a speaker at my school. When I heard it I thought it was one of the stupidest things I have ever heard, and it was coming from someone who supposed to be well educated, oh well. Why can't people understand that "homicide bomber" is a redundancy? To paraphrase Henry Higgins in "My fair lady", we are witnessing the"cold blooded murder of the English language". I apologize for not knowing the exact quote.

and it does no good to point out that most bombers are homicide bombers unless they're Friends of the Earth types who target empty construction sites. Certainly all right wing bombers are homicide bombers, so the term is redundant.

It was ordered by the powers that be at FOX. I can't see why they are trying it out again. Maybe they think that since the election they have a new mandate so they need to make this fly. Once you see MSGOP and CNN using it you can assume it's a Rove thing.

He pointed out the fact that ANY bomb that kills a person is a homicide bomb, but that the term "suicide bombing" describes a tactic.
