Have you ever daydreamed about.....
a day, far far into the future where mankind figured out a way to do away with money?

I was thinking about Star Trek (don't laugh!) and the captain explained to the short greedy guys that humans had done away with monetary things - figured out a way to unify mankind towards a more altruistic end.

Have any of you ever wondered how that could ever come to pass? I get so downhearted sometimes thinking about the inequality in the world, the power struggles, the greed, the endless wars in one nation or another - endless fighting, violence and scrambling for power/position. It is downright depressing how much time, effort and resources go into figuring out more creative and deadly ways to kill each other - and the total lack of interest in figuring out ways to promote peace. When did peacemaking become an evil thing???

Overly simplistic - but the love of money trully does seem to be the root of all evil.

1. Well, in "Star Trek"
the replicators made money irrelevant.
