This post-election period really sucks ass
The months--indeed years--leading up to the election were among the darkest in U.S. history, but there was a sense of tension and hope that the Bush administration would implode as a result of its own disastrous policies and deceptions, or that it would be removed through an electoral defeat.

Well, now that they've "secured" a second term, that sense of tension and hope has been greatly diminished. These fuckers are basking in their victory. And thanks to a hideously compromised mass media, they are coated in high-grade Teflon.

Yes, the fight must and will continue, but damn if it doesn't feel like these bastards have dramatically consolidated their power.

The frog march does not appear to be on the horizon.

God, I hate this.

3. With six beers and a dead dog, you could win CMA artist of the year.
Throw in a bad relationship and it's a lifetime achievement honor.

12. Yeah, I just can't stand it.
I'm totally addicted to DU, I need to be reminded that I'm not actually the ONLY person who feels deeply freaked out by what's happened to this country.

But what can I do? Be one person marching up and down my little street, yelling, I WON'T STAND FOR THE BULLSHIT ANYMORE?

Maybe that is the answer.

Sometimes I think all we need to do is sit quietly and watch them self-destruct.

But how many Iraqis will die before that happens? How much further in debt will we be then?

16. There's an age old solution to these problems
Hard work, deep thought and relaxation between chores. Fight for what you believe within and do not make life difficult for others.
