I predict the unpragmatic left will do us in, in CA recall |
|
I think it is a likely scenario, that Uberotth, last night was debating on BEHALF of Arnold. I think the GOP knows what it's doing and they have a plan to almost garentee victroy for the right
I think that Shortly before the election, either McClintock or Uberoth, or both will drop out of the election, because they realize that they are deviding the right-of center votes.
However, I strongly doubt that Camejo or Huffington(who have virtually identical platforms) would ever drop out, even if Bustamante was 10 points ahead of them going into the election.
I think that the left-of center will be split 3 ways no matter what, and the center-right will be split at the most by Arnold and McClintock, or probably not even at all for Arnold and a few minor, minor candidates by a tiny fraction
you heard it here first

2. Are Arianna and Camejo in favor of the recall? |
|
Edited on Thu Sep-04-03 03:21 PM by BurtWorm
If so, you're absolutely right. I doubt the California Greens are running a "No on Recall, Yes on Camejo" campaign.

3. I believe Arrianna and Camejo Made a pact |
|
between themselves to back the other is one pulled ahead of the other , but that still does leave one of them in the race.

5. It truly is time for her to drop out. She should start at the local level |
|
and work her way up through the political system. She would be truly great at whatever she did but her running for governor now does nothing more than provide a platform to state her positions and act as a spoiler. To get my future vote, she would also have to be and run as a Democrat.

6. Dare I ask this----and I'm sober, I really am |

Is there any prayer in hell that Davis would survive? Shut up, stop laughing you hear, stop laughing. Anyway, I did hear the media hype this a.m. (that's when I thought I must have woken up drunk) that Davis did real well last night and they were quoting him all over the place, etc. So, what's the 'take' from CA?????

8. Think of it this way. Davis has been elected twice |
|
and there is no reason to think he won't be again unless Bev is on to something with the vote tampering.

9. i think he will prevail it was 52 -48 against him last week |
|
that was before the campaign to stop the recall began, before any appearances etc. If he looses in the high40's and gets replaced by a puke in the mid 20's, get ready for recall II , orchestrated by Willie Brown damayor@sfgov.org

it will be because the voting apparatus has been tampered with. I can't believe he would be elected no matter how much free exposure he is getting from the MW press.

bustamante owns this one. Fear of Ahnold is ludicrous. Sit back and enjoy the defeat of the recall. You heard that here, no matter whence. Its going to fail. -yes, from California, with the facts. -almost a shame to ignore the ignorant green baiting, but you're clearly masters anyway.

Our bomber friend is way off base. I think the recall will fail and Bustamante will win on the second question. Personally, I like Arianna and Pete Camejo, and both were pretty good in yesterday's debates. Bustamante didn't distinguish himself much. Still, I believe Bustamante will win because people are trying to play it safe.

was debating on behalf of Arnold, both of them should drop out. I know two things for sure: Arnold didn't show because he was way out of his league and the single worst debater yesterday was one-note Ueberroth.

13. You obviously are under the assumption that the recall will be successful |
|
If Democrats get out and vote it will all be moot.

15. The "unpragmatic left" |
|
is just that left and you are the center or right of center. How many times are you going to vote for a centrist or center right candidate and realize that you are what you vote for?.
